The Worst Mistake
Browsing through the pound for a new pet,
that's when I saw him, with those cute little eyes,
I quickly adopted him and swore never to disown him,
But those words I said where obviously lies.
We explored many places together,
"Mystery Island, Here WE COME!"
Enjoying each others company, we had much fun,
But now that I reflect on my decisions,
I think that what I did was very dumb.
I spent thousands of Neopoints on this little guy,
And he always thanked me,
As the times went by and by,
even when we were poorer than poor,
We were always happy together, no matter what,
But the horrid thing I did, I'll never be able to explain why.
Then on one clouded day,
I went to the pound,
and clicked on "Disown"
"Kick me out" my poor pet says,
I stare down, with no emotion in my eyes,
And slowly click the button that shall send him away,
I leave the pound with a guilty feeling.
Weeks later, I begin to regret the decision I made,
So I quickly return to the pound in hopes of finding him,
I browsed through the pound for what seemed hours,
I came to the conclusion that he had been adopted,
So I try and search for his new owner,
I type in the pet's name and what do I find?
Nothing.
I promised to keep him forever,
to love him forever,
but I had told the worst lie.
So there I sat, depressed and guilty,
I adopted him and then disowned him,
even though he was no longer with me
I decide to say one last thing to him.
"I'm sorry... _Zanell_....."
