Disclaimer: Hey, if it was mine, we wouldnÕt need to write fics like these, because it wouldnÕt be canceled.

A/N: This is my first story in the DA fandom. I was working on another one, but since I heard the show was canceled, I haven't really been feeling as motivated to write. IÕll get back to work on it soon, be on the lookout for it!

Okay, this is just a short little fic, my contribution to DA Nation. IÕm sooooooo pissed off that itÕs getting canceled. Just remember, sign petitions, write letters, do whatever it take to get our show back on the air!!!!!!

Max stood on the top of the main building in Terminal City, her hair blowing in the wind along with the new transgenic flag beside her. I canÕt believe this is happening, she thought sadly, they canÕt do this. Now IÕll never know. IÕll never find out if we can ever live in the normal world without having to fear for our lives. IÕll never know if Normal will help us, or if heÕll give me my job back, again. IÕll never be able to tell Logan I love him. IÕll never be able to find a cure for this bitch virus so that I can tell him. Tears slowly fell down her face. I wonÕt be able to tell Alec that, even though heÕs a major pain-in-the-ass, heÕs still one of my best friends. I wonÕt get to see the look on JoshuaÕs face as he walks down a crowded street for the first time with out having to run for his life. IÕll never have a chance to see Zack again, or find any of my other brothers or sisters that escaped with me so long ago. IÕll never know what happened to any of them. I wonÕt know if Lydecker is still alive. Max allowed herself a small smile at her next thought. Hell, IÕll never be able to kick WhiteÕs ass again. IÕll miss that. The smile fell from her face immediately. IÕll never be able to find Sandeman, and ask him all of my questions.

Out of the corner of her eye, Max saw a crowd of ordinaries crash through the gates of Terminal City. They were chanting, carrying signs. But they werenÕt anti-transgenics. The signs they were carrying were Transgenic flags, and barcodes. Max watched them, and listened to their chants of ÒSave Dark Angel!Ó

How can they do this to me--to us? She determinedly wiped the tears from her face. She thought of her brothers and sisters, Eva, who had died as a young child trying to be free; of the X5 women who now had babies to care for, like Jan; of Sam, her clone, who had a husband and a son. She thought of Joshua, who was one of the kindest people she knew, who would never intentionally hurt anyone, and only wanted to be with the Ôupstairs peopleÕ. She thought of those who had lost their lives, like Biggs and Cece. She wouldnÕt give up. She would fight, for her own sake and for theirs. She would fight, and she would win.
