Inspired by this gif ^. A short drabble on Castiel's attempts at angel-zapping into a moving vehicle. Nothing but a little fluff, hope you like it!

Cas spread his wings, turning his neck from side to side, and took a deep breath. Angel-zapping was easy, but into a moving car? Not so much. He concentrated. 'I'm going to appear in the Impala,' he thought to himself. He repeated it, like a mantra: 'in the Impala, in the Impala…'

A few milliseconds later, Cas found himself hovering in the air slightly to the right of the Impala. 'Not again,' he thought as he ungraciously dropped from midair onto the tar road. He stood up; the Impala was now flying down the road a few hundred metres away. 'Ok, Castiel, you can do this. Just get to Dean,' he thought, focusing on the thought of being near Dean. He shut his eyes and angel-zapped out…

… to find himself hovering above the Impala. Cas let out a startled 'son of a bitch' (an expression he'd picked up from Dean) as he dropped onto the top of the Impala and was thrown back onto the road. Meanwhile, in the Impala, Sam looked up at the sound of a bump on the roof. "What was that?" he asked Dean, who responded, "Hell if I know," and turned up the radio. Sam pondered the mysterious noise for a second, then shrugged it off as some poor bird thwacking the roof. He hoped it was okay, whatever it was.

Cas stood up in the middle of the road, watching as the Impala continued to hurtle down the road. 'Alright, assbutt. Now or never. Land. In. The. Impala," he thought to himself, shaking off the recent crash-and-burn (literally and figuratively) attempt for the final shot. He fluttered his wings lightly, did a couple small jumps and prepared to angel-zap. He shut his eyes again, envisioning the backseat of Dean's beloved car and angel-zapped out.

Cas opened his eyes to find himself in the Impala. He internally cheered, while keeping a neutral expression on his face so that Dean wouldn't realize he'd needed more than one try at angel-zapping into the car. "Hello, Dean," Cas said, his heart fluttering a little bit at the sight of his favourite human. Dean turned to glance at him, a small smile toying at his lips as he recognised Cas. "Hey, Cas. Where've you been hiding?"
