Disclaimers: Neither HIMYM nor SkyMall belong to me.

Barney and Robin settled into their seats on the Boeing 777, destined for London. Barney, utterly at ease, fastened his seatbelt, leaned back comfortably into his seat, and began flipping through the SkyMall magazine in front of him. After flipping through a few pages, he stopped and looked at Robin. His g-hmm. Try that again, Barney. His girlf-Almost got it... His girlfriend (there we go) hadn't moved an inch since fastening her seatbelt, but was sitting frozen, her eyes wide and scared.

"Robin?" Barney asked concernedly.

"What?" Robin started.

"Are you alright?"

"Umm...I really don't enjoy flying." Robin said quietly.

"Awww...oh-h, really?" Barney chuckled sympathetically. Robin nodded. "It's really nothing to be scared of. Look. I'm going to make sure this flight gets you over that fear."

Robin looked at him skeptically.

"Promise. You'll see. Flying is the best, really." And Barney was off, showing her various functions of the seat. He showed her the safety features, the uses of all the buttons on her seat, and TVs in front of them. By the time her was done, the plane was sitting on the runway, ready for take-off. Barney, glancing at Robin, saw that now that she had noticed where they were, she was looked terrified again.

"You don't like take-off, do you?" Barney murmured quietly. Robin shook her head mutely. "I thought not, most people who don't like flying hate take-off and landing. Okay. Lemme help you. It won't last too long. Here," Barney took one of Robin's hand between both of his own.

As the plane gathered speed and began to rise steadily into the air, Barney pointed out various distractions. As the plane rose and rose, Robin looked more and more scared, and Barney's distractions grew odder.

"Look, a flying sheep, Robin! Look, a balloon of the Vancouver Canucks! Look-"

"How do they fly through these clouds? They can't exactly see through them, can they?" Robin asked wildly. Barney decided it was time to change tactics.

"Robin. Look at me." Barney said firmly. Robin broke her gaze from the window. "Just look into my eyes. We. Are. Okay. There's nothing wrong with the plane, and we're going to be okay. Please, just concentrate on me." A few minutes passed. "Okay. You can look again."

Robin broke her concentration on Barney's blue eyes to look out the window and gasped. With all her concentration on Barney, she hadn't noticed the plane leveling out above the clouds. Now, the sight outside took her breath away.

The sky was a vivid blue, the same blue as Barney's eyes, Robin noticed. Far off in the distance, the sun glinted. Around it, the horizon was beginning to look pinkish-orange, as if evening was drawing near.

"Still terrified?" Barney asked smugly, but also, Robin noted, a bit worriedly.

"Not as much..." Robin said slowly as she leaned against Barney.

"Challenge accepted!" Barney grinned, kissed her lightly, and began showing her more gadgets.

As the couple stepped off the flight, Robin sighed contentedly.

"Wow. That was actually...well, actually fun!" She smiled and tightened her arm around Barney's waist.

"Good. Time to start planning for the flight back. It's going to be awesome. In fact, it'll be legen- wait for it..."

"Dary?" Robin laughed. The terror was gone from her eyes, and she held herself with a fluid ease that was a 180 turnaround from the beginning of the flight.

"Dary." Barney agreed with a smile.

Author's Note: Hiya there, again! Thanks for reading. Just a couple notes:

The chuckle I mentioned when Barney goes "Awww...oh-h really?"- I got it from Sandcastles in the Sand, Season 3, where (*spoiler*) Robin tells Barney that Simon broke up with her again.

Thanks!
