Little oneshot idea that came to me while I was eating food on the couch. Yep. Nice backstory right?
Akiko dragged the tips of her nails down her boyfriend's muscled chest. She glanced up at his uncovered, handsome face out of the tops of her eyes, biting her lip as their eyes met.
"Kakashi?" she asked hesitantly, her eyes flitting back down to the chain she was twisting between her fingers.
"Yeah?" he hummed, tracing a finger down her curving spine.
"What's up with your dogtags?" She tipped her head back, her hair fanning out on the pillow and his shoulder.
Kakashi's hand curled over the curve of Akiko's waist. His eyes traced her features as she tucked her head under his chin.
"They were my father's," he answered simply, his voice quiet. His father had always been a sensitive topic for him, and it wasn't any different with Akiko.
Little was said after that. Akiko wasn't quite sure what to say to him, so she said nothing. Silence hung around the couple, but it wasn't awkward. It was simply the silence between loved ones.
That was the most Fail ending ever.
