"Man, you even listening to me?" Jacin asked.
"Sorry. What were you saying?'' Thorne replied.
"I said Winter broke up with me like a month ago. I think its time for me to find a new girl." He nudges Thorne's shoulder "If you know what I mean."
"Like a girlfriend. Man, she broke up with you only a month ago. It took me like a year to get over Kate, remember."
"Ya, but Kate was a nice girl, winter was just an I don't know, like a rich bitch, if that makes sense."
"Ha. Ight man, I'm going to go get a coffee, want one?"
"Sure. Be back quick though." Jacin says with a smirk.
"I make no promises." Thorne replies.
Thorne walks across the office towards the coffee station. Once he gets there he grabs two cups. There are two girls looking through files nearby. One was of the taller, more muscular type with flaming red hair, like it was set on fire. The other was smaller, barely reaching 5 feet tall, with bright blond hair.
He fills the cups with coffee, adding cream only to Jacin's. Thorne turns around only to bump into the petite blond sending her papers flying everywhere. Luckily the coffees had lids, otherwise that cold have been bad. She scrambles to her knees, gathering papers quickly. The red head had disappeared somewhere, so she was alone picking up at least a hundred papers.
Throne kneels down next to her, and helps pick up papers. After all the papers were in neat stacks, Throne hand them over to her. She looks up at him to reveal big, bright, blue eyes. The bluest shade he has ever seen. Like the ocean. He got lost in them so fast he could hardly hear her when she started speaking.
"I am so sorry. Are you okay." she asks slowly standing up.
"I should ask you." Thorne says while standing also.
"Ya I'm fine." She answers.
"I'm Thorne by the way. Carswell Thorne." Thorne says. He reaches out to shake her hand. She grabs his hand and gives it a short shake.
"I'm Cress. Crescent Moon Darnel." She says.
"See you around then Cress." Throne says with a wink, and grabs his coffees while walking away.
