Lex's First Battle with Superman
POV – Clark
Clark is in the Daily Planet, sitting at his desk, waiting for Lois to get back from one of her interviews. Just then he hears a loud piercing noise. Clark moans in pain as the noise penetrates his ears. Clark then glances around to see if anybody else heard it and was surprised to see that he was the only one to.
"Hello Superman," a voice said, "I have made it so that you're the only one who can hear me. Meet me at the Lexcorp plaza right now. We need to talk."
Clark stands up and walks to the window and removes his glasses before opening and jumping out of the window. As Clark's falling he changes into his Superman uniform, using super speed before flying off to Lexcorp.
Lex is sitting at his desk with him facing away from the window. Superman then flies into his office through the window. "Here I am, Lex. What do you want?" Superman asks. Lex turns around to face him, "Hello Superman, we meet for the first." This is odd, Lex somehow doesn't remember me, Superman thought, I guess that it's better that way.
"You still haven't answered my question, what do you want?" Superman asked. "Simple, every man has a limit to his strengths. Or should I say in your case every being. Anyway there are two missiles heading towards San Andreas Fault," Lex says. "Those missiles could result in the deaths of millions of innocent people," Superman says, shocked. Lex takes a sip of wine, "Exactly."
Superman then flies of, into space. Once Clark reaches space he uses telescopic-vision to locate the missiles. Superman flies towards the first missile. He swoops down and grabs it before it hits the ground before hurling it into space. He then flies after the second missile. Unfortunately he's too late and the missile had struck a mountain, causing an avalanche. Superman stops it by using arctic breath, effectively stopping it in its place. Superman then flies back to Lexcorp.
POV – Lex
Lex is sitting in his chair, holding his stopwatch. He then feels a breeze behind him. Lex stops the stopwatch, two minutes, fifty seconds. "Took you long enough," Lex says. Lex spins around in his chair to face him.
"What was that supposed to prove?" Superman asks, angrily. "I wanted to see just how strong at fast you were," Lex says. "By killing innocent people?" Superman asks. "A necessary sacrifice for a good cause," Lex answers. "A good cause? A good cause for what?" Superman says. "For protecting the human race against the extra-terrestrials and terrorists," Lex says. "You are truly lost, you should realize that the only threat here is you, Lex and I'll do anything in my power to see that you can never threaten the world again," Superman declares, boldly. "Same goes for you," Lex responds.
Superman then turns around and flies out the window. Lex stands up and watches on as he disappears from his sight. Now from all these observations I've finally managed to conclude all the strengths of Superman, Lex thinks to himself, now it's time to find out his weakness…
