A/N: Sorry the first chapter is really short, all I really wanted to do was get my first story out there and get the first chapter out. Well I hope you like it, it's just the setting I should have the next chapter up in a day or so. And remember I am an AVID reader of fiction but this is my first fic ever and creative comments are extremely welcome.

Chapter 1:
Normalità degli arbusti – The Normality of Shrubs
The day started out as any normal day would. But normal doesn't exactly describe 22 year old, Hermione Granger. She grabbed her coffee of her granite countertop, drinking as she towel-dried her damp hair. Her shower had been both relaxing and invigorating, and her coffee had sustained her caffeine addiction, for now, completely waking her up. Hermione stepped out the door of her quaint country home, onto a small paved path towards her Daily Prophet. She turned back, glancing up from the headline reading "Love Found For Wizarding Hero," to a scene of tall natty greenery invading her petunias, mums, and forget-me-nots. Her poor garden.
Now as she stood in front of her small garden, one thought came to mind. Weeding, probably one of the most intolerable household chores known to creation. And it looked as if that would be first on her agenda. Bugger.
Hermione headed back into her home. She had been living in the bland white home since The War was over, Harry succeeded in defeating Voldermort. Harry did not do this alone. Hermione and Ron stayed close to is side the entire time, watching his back the whole way through. Others who helped The Trio were those such as; Ginny and the Weasley Family, members of the order, like, Remus and Tonks, and surprisingly, Draco Malfoy, who Snape recruited as a spy for the Order.
Yes, surprising, everyone thinks so, especially Hermione, who was almost constantly around him for about 24 months at Grimwald Place, for the duration of most of the battle. And while at non-active times they could be seen having a civil debate, very different from the ones they had at Hogwarts.
When The War ended everyone who immediately helped was awarded with Orders of Merlin of different classes, and attended many-a banquets and balls. Then life went back to "normal" you could say. Many people were thought to have left the country. Not hearing news on many people such as Malfoy, Neville Longbottom, Dean Thomas, and some civilians not associated with the Order. Others who stuck around tried to shift back into the swing of things. Buying houses, Getting married, getting jobs, and tending to gardens. Which is just what Hermione was dressed to do as she walked back outside, gardening gloves, spade, and trash bag all tucked under her arm.
