Ron, Hermione, and Harry were all sitting in the Great Hall, discussing some subject Ron didn't quite understand.

He was too busy looking at Hermione, at the way the light caught her face, at the way that her hair fell around her face, at everything…

He didn't understand. He'd never seen this way.

Well, yes, he had, but not in this way…

Her hair. The way it fell around her face made her look…so much more…beautiful. It no longer looked bushy.

Her eyes. They were a beautiful color. It reminded him of autumns from when he was little, attempting to fly on a broomstick like Fred and George, running and playing in the leaves with Ginny, and one memory from second year…

"Look at the brown leaves. They're all over the place," Ron said.

"It's like a sea of different colors," Hermione said, staring up at the trees and all their beautifully colored leaves, "And anyway, the brown looks more like hazel to me.

"This leaf is brown like your eyes," Ron said absentmindedly, holding up the leaf.

"No it's not," Hermione protested, turning away and blushing.

"Yeah," Ron said, putting it down, "You're right."

But she was wrong. Her eyes did look like the leaf. They were brown and full of autumn and joy and sorrow and just about everything beautiful and brown that Ron could categorize.

"Ron!" Hermione snapped, "Are you even listening?"

"Yeah," Ron said.

Hermione continued on.

Her personality. She was so strong and determined and friendly and had a thirst to prove herself.

Ron liked that. Only that was too good for him. He was just…a Weasley. His last name filled with the stereotypes of the others and not really knowing what was on the inside, pushing past the name.

He wasn't so determined like her. If he was, he would've done something about dating her.

He was too…small. Too Weasley.

"RON!" Hermione yelled, "What did I just say?"
"Your eyes," Ron said, "were not brown like the leaf. You're right. They're hazel."
Hermione's mouth hung open.

Then Ron realized something. He hadn't just seen Hermione in this way.

He had been looking at her that way ever since they met.
Ahh! I worked soo hard in this! Very serious, don't you think so? ;) And the whole Weasley/stereotype thing was hard for me to write, since I love all the Weasleys! They're such a fantastic family.

Please review and tell me what you think!
