The crisp fall air flowed over her wings as she soared through the sky. The smell of burning pumpkin and damp earth permeated the cool breeze. Landing softly, she turned to watch the villagers scurrying around below her like mice as they finished their decorations, chatted with friends and looked for other friends. They were all dressed in a multitude of costumes. There were cats, and angels, devils and monsters moving together, like a kaleidoscope of color, below her. She smiled to herself and entered the building folding her paper wings back into her body. 'Halloween has to be my favorite holiday. Not just because you can stay out all night with your friends but because it is the one day a year you can be whatever you want.' She removed her cloak and clothes and pulled on a black silk kimono with blue embroidered butterflies spiraling up in stunning patterns. The trim around the top, bottom, and sleeves was the same blue as the butterflies. The bow was a multitude of blue shades. She tied it tightly around her waist. Then fixed her makeup and left to go to the dining room, glancing one last time out the window at the people below. 'They all dress up as the things they want to be, the lives they dream of having. Humans transformed into beautiful fairies or powerful monsters. Where angels and gods transform into… humans.'' The dining room was dark. The only light radiated from soft white candles, the table was set for two. Standing in the middle of the room was her beloved Pein. She marveled at him. He was wearing black pants and a white silk shirt with a gold dragon up the right side. His orange spiky hair glowed like fire as the candle light danced. He was handsome, she thought. She walked over to him, awed by his splendor. A smile played across his face as he wrapped his arms around her. Pulling her close, he kissed her gently then he led her to the table. 'Yes, Halloween is definitely my favorite holiday. '
