The shadow energy was taking over his body. He couldn't feel his arms, or his legs.

"!" Yosuke shouted. His bonds, they were unbreakable. His friendships, and the intamite one with Yosuke.

'Is this...how it ends...?' Souji wondered, looking at the darkness.

"Silly boy, are your bonds that flimsy that you can't fight for them?" A soft, feminine, voice called out.

"Excuse me?"

"They're out there, they need you. You're their leader."

"Yosuke could lead them just as well as I could."

"No, because you are the Wild Card, if the Wild Card has given up, then it is all over."

"What do you mean?"

"Souji Seta, my name is Rai Shadow. That name means nothing to you right now, but listen. I was a Wild Card. Today I am chained to a gate at the ends of time to prevent Humanity's distruction. I visit you to remind you to NEVER give up. If you give up, then Humanity, what I died to save, is doomed." Souji felt a warm hand touch his and the shadow feeling melt away. A persona pulled him close and held out a hand, blowing the enemy away with a wind attack. Had to be Yosuke's, but it wasn't Jiryia.

"Rai...how can I..thank you?" Souji asked the girl who was fading away.

"Tell Yosuke...tell him that I'm sorry, I'm sorry I left, I'm sorry I broke my promise. Tell him I love him. Please."

When they were in the Junes lobby, after the battle, Yosuke hugged Souji tightly, holding him close.

"P-P-Partner... You're such an Idiot!" Souji knew that was Yosuke speak for 'Partner, you scared me. I was worried about you.' and Yosuke ment what he said.

"I'm sorry I scared all of you."

"So, what was it like, becoming a Shadow?" Chie asked.

"I saw someone, she told me that she was a Wild Card, that I shouldn't give up and that you all needed me, then I was being held in strong arms, she was fading away."

"What did she say Sensei?" Teddie asked.

"She told me to tell Yosuke she was sorry she broke her promise, that she was sorry in general and that she loved him."

"What was her name Partner?"

"Rai Shadow."

"That name ring any bells Yosuke-Senpai?" Naoto asked, looking at the two hugging boys.

"Rai Shadow. That's a name I haven't heard in two years. She was a Wild Card? Makes sence now that I think about it. Partner. Be careful. I don't wanna lose you as well."

"I'll be careful, you won't lose me. Yosuke I love you."

"I love you too, partner."
