Twilight Sparkles herthwarning gift
(an: happy heartwarming everybody! - i wanted to write s short story in honor of the ocasion - i hope you enjoy it and have a good time!)
Twilight sparkled yawned a blinked her eyes in the soft morning sunshine - she opened up and looked around at her sleeping friends. 'it was such a great idea to have a heartwarming celebiteory sleepover! -' she though sleepily yet silently -'she could feel the warmth from the indoor fire drift in through the doors and windows - she and her friends had all slept out on the balcony last nigt. It was rainbowdashe's idea and they all had had a great time conting the stars outside until they fell asleep one-by-one. She could see their fleeping forms on the porch - there was Fluttershy who was sleeping with angel with a soft and gentle 'hesh-hoo' breathing noise - pinkie pie was shaking as she snored softly and her mouth looked like a sock flapping in the wind. Rarity was sleeping near her little sister sweety bell with a air of gracefull refinement - she had a dignified smile on her face nd her eyes were gently closed. Applejack was sleeping comfortably with applelbloom toasteily. Rainbow dash and thrust were sleeping together as well cuddled up - 'they look nice together' twilight pondred knowinly. Spike was still asleep as well - mumbling something softly in his sleep. Twilight opened the door and walked out of the balcony and into the tree - she saw all the gifts in a pile near her cofee table and JUSR THEN A NEW GIFT CAME INTHRUTHEMAILSLOT. It was gift rapped and it came with a card that said "for twilight sparkle" on a simple white card with gold trim in gold ink. Twilight sparle turned the gift over confusedly - she discovered that it had NO RETURN ADRESS! she knocked on the door adn opened it to see the frienly male carreir Derpy Hooves flying off. 'excuse me!' twilight requested politely 'do you know where this gift cam from?' she inquisitor? Derpy Hooves pondred for a bit - then shook her had and said 'im sorry, all I know is that it came from canterlot- thanks for our gift by the way' she chirped happily - and thank you for yours' replied twilight sparkle as Derpy went off to give more gifts to ponies on this very special day. Twilight tilted her head and walked toward the gift and turned it over with ehr analitical eyes. She thought abot who it could be from - it could be from her older brother shining armor or cadecne. It could be from celestia or even princess luna! She was very curious as to what was inside -finally starting to open in when a sleepy-eyed spike yaned and emerged through the door 'good hearth-morning twilight!' he chumbled cheerily - 'the sound of wrapping papoer woke me up, what is it?' twilight sparkle pulled of the paper and opened the box - she peered quizicly inside with one eyeborw raised. It was a simple knit brown-wol hat with a pair of buttons on it. She streched and sqeezed and twisted it - looking for signs of magic or special features - but there was noting there. 'It looks warm' obseved spike - 'it is' twilight soakle noted as she pulled the hat over her head. "ha ha aha ahaha haahah! those buttons look like cute little extra eyes!' spike chuckled merriley. 'it certainly is arm though' twilight sighed comfortably. Then they had joe near the warm fire while they waited for their friends to wake up.
