After Annabeth returned through the Labyrinth, she told everyone what happened. That night during the bonfire, Annabeth was at the beach when Percy washed ashore. She brought him to the bonfire, and a girl stepped forward…

"I know what to do." Annabeth looked up, tears streaming down her face. "I know what to do know." The girl said again. Chiron looked confused, but he stepped back. Annabeth sat there, staring at Percy. The girl, Chloe, drew her dagger, and touched the tip to Percy's forehead, and spoke and incantation. A blue-green mist swirled and formed a sort of TV screen above them, large enough for everyone to see. Then, it started playing. It was from Percy's memory. It showed Annabeth kissing him, then the volcano, and then Percy flying into the sky…darkness, then Calypso. After that, he with Calypso and he insisting that he should go home. Him coming home. But then, time fast forwarded, and you saw a goddess.

"Percy…you are my pawn." Percy glared. He looked about 17, maybe 16. He was older…and more muscular. "No, Gaia. I won't." The goddess grinned. "Oh, but you will." Then, everything vanished… "Percy…let me go." It was me! I was pale, and Percy was holding onto a ledge. We were about to fall into a pit…Tartarus. "Never," he said. He looked up at Nico, fifteen feet above. "The other side, Nico! We'll see you there. Understand?" Nico's eyes widened. "But-"

"Lead them there!" Percy shouted. "Promise me!"

"I-I will."

Below them, the voice laughed in the darkness. Sacrifices. Beautiful sacrifices to wake the goddess. Percytightened his grip on Annabeth'swrist. His face was gaunt, scraped and bloody, his hair dusted with cobwebs, but when he locked eyes with her, she thought he had never looked more handsome. "We're staying together," he promised. "You're not getting away from me. Never again." Only then did she realize what would happen. A one-way trip. A very hard fall. "As long as we're together," she said. She heard Nico and Hazel still screaming for help. She saw the sunlight far, far above-maybe the last sunlight she would ever see. Then Percy let go of his tiny ledge, and together, holding hands, he and Annabeth fell into the endless darkness.

Annabeth burst into tears. Again. Then, the image blurred, and when it cleared, Percy was standing in front of the gods.

"We are offering you immortality again, Percy. Will you accept it? Annabeth is gone, and if you accept immortality, you may be able to save her." Percy looked up at Poseidon. "So…I can save her? But then she'll be mortal." Poseidon looked at Zeus, and he nodded. Athena's eyes gleamed. "Then she can be made immortal as well." Percy looked up at them. He was deep in thought. "I-I accept."

No…. he couldn't have! He means me…. I realize. He's going to save me. I'll-I'll be immortal….

"Annabeth! No!" Percy looked down in despair at a mangled body. He hadn't accepted his immortality yet, and I was…dead. I was…gone.

Percy stared at me, frozen. Then he picked me up and walked into the endless darkness. Before he left, I looked in his eye, but it wasn't Percy. No, something had changed…and I had caused it. I saw myself, my soul, staring at Percy as he left, crying out to him. Percy…

The image faded away, leaving us in shocked silence. I had seen the future, and I could do nothing to stop it.
