Hello amazing people of Fanfiction.

Thank you for choosing to read my story it means a lot that you are reading this.

I really, really hope you enjoy this.

Mutants were not an uncommon thing in this world. With every generation comes a new set of gifted individuals.

Most were born with two powers, and others only one.

However, there is a legend.

Within every century, two mutants will be born. Their powers shall be polar opposites but when combined, they can create the most powerful gift in ages. To bend reality itself.

It's never known which two shall be the prophesied mystic two.

But it's said that once they see each other for the first time, they'll know that they were made for each other.

In a park, a little girl was lying in a field of flowers. The girl had on a white shirt and pink overalls, and her loose blue hair mixed in with the grass beneath her.

The girl giggled as a ladybug landed on her nose before it flew away.

"Marinette!" A woman's voice called out. The little girl sat up to face the voice, a woman sitting on a bench no more than a few feet away, "We're leaving in five minutes, sweetie."

"Okay, Mommy!"

Marinette then picked herself off the ground and ran further into the beautiful garden. A lovely pink rose caught the little girls eye, with a smile she gently plucked it from the ground and tucked the plant into her hair just above her ear.

The little girl was about to walk back to her mother when the slight sound of sobbing caught her attention. Marinette turned around to try to locate the sound. It took awhile but she spotted a head of blonde hair hidden just behind a tall tree.

Marinette curiously walked towards the sobbing child, sympathy guiding her path.

Peeking around the tree, she found a little boy with shiny blonde hair crying. The boy had on a green shirt and brown shorts, his hands were closed in on themselves.

Marinette walked from around the tree and stood just inches away from him.

"Excuse me?" the boy didn't answer, instead he wiped furiously at his eyes and turned away from the worried voice. Marinette cleared her throat and tried again, "Are you okay?"

The boy still didn't answer but he did react when Marinette reached a hand out towards him. He jumped as if her hand was on fire and scooted back until he bumped into the tree.

Marinette started at the boy with confusion but didn't do anything to further push him.

"Please don't touch me," the boy said in a small voice

"I'm sorry," with her kind words, the boy seemed to calm down. Marinette sat down on the ground next to him, "Why were you crying?"

The boy looked shocked that he had been spotted before another wave of tears flooded his green eyes.

"The flower," the boy opened his hand and revealed a pile of black ashes, "It was so beautiful and blue that I wanted to give it to my Mommy but I destroyed it like I destroy everything!"

The boy dropped the ashes as he curled in on himself and cried into his knees.

Marinette reached a hand out towards the boy before deciding against it. Instead, she smiled as an idea came to her head.

Closing her eyes, Marinette placed her hands together and stuck out her tongue in concentration. The sobbing boy looked up to see a red and pink glow come from her hands, his eyes widened as the light fades away. With a smile, Marinette opened her hands to reveal a beautiful blue rose that wasn't there before.

The boys' eyes widened in amazement, "How did you do that?"

"My Mommy and Daddy say it's my gift," Marinette held out the flower for the boy to take but instead he tucked his hands under his arm in fear. Marinette frowned before an idea came to her head, "Here,"

The little girl reached forward and gently tucked the flower into the boy's hair like she had done to herself earlier.

"My name is Marinette,"

The boy's shy smile changed into one of pure happiness, "I'm Adrien,"

"Hello, children,"

Both children looked up at see an older man standing a few feet away from him. A black box was in his hand.

"I can tell that you two are very special, I'm sure you already know that," Marinette nodded with a smile while Adrien seemed unsure, "Would you two like to see something special?"

Both children nodded eagerly. The man walked closer before sitting on the ground I front of them and placing his case in front of him.

"Both of your powers are very unique," he said as he began to open the box, "Different than any I have ever seen in my days, so I would like to introduce some very special friends of mine,"

The man opened the case before turning to Marinette, "Little girl, I would like to introduce to you, Tikki," the man pulled out a small red plush toy with big blue eyes and a sewn on smile. The plush seemed to resemble a ladybug, "She's made from a very special fabric, and she'll look after you,"

Marinette smiled widely and hugged the plush doll tightly, gently kissing it's soft head, "Thank you, sir."

The man smiled back before turning towards the other child.

"Young boy," Adrien winced, waiting to be called dangerous or a monster, "You have a very powerful gift but that doesn't make you a monster,"

Adrien opened his eyes in confusion and saw a small black cat plush with bright green eyes and a small smile in the man's hand. The boy hesitated to reach out for the toy.

"This is Plagg, he's made up a very special magic. No matter what, you cannot destroy him,"

Adrien slowly and hesitantly reached out towards the toy with his eyes scrunched shut. He felt the soft fabric of the plush. Opening his eyes, Adrien was surprised to see that it hadn't turned to ashes.

The man smiled as the kids seemed to love their new toys.

"These are no ordinary dolls, children. In fact, they're magical and now they're your friends,"

"Thank you, kind sir," Adrien said as he held Plagg closer.

"Marinette, it's time to go sweetie!"

"Adrien! Where are you?"

Marinette and Adrien quickly stood up with their new toy in hands, quickly thanking the man again before rushing off towards their own mothers.

Wang Fu smiled to themselves as he watched the two excitedly show their new toys to their mothers.

If they were who he believed they are, then the plushie should be awakened soon. Their personalities will be linked with their holders and they shall watch over the two mutants as they grow and make sure that they're powers don't grow too out of control.

When the time was right, those two shall become something miraculous.

Maybe, just maybe.

When the time is right.

A/N:

I know in most situations, Plagg and Tikki would be humans but I love their small and adorable forms that I kept it, just they're not kwamis here.

The next chapter should be up sometime next week.

Don't forget to review, I love you all!
