"Lil girl get off that horse" said Jake "….Before I make you" *looking at Dakota*
"I think you wont", "You seriously think I wont" Jake answered "oh im serious" *I put my hands on my hips as he walks over to me and snatches me up and off the horse taking me back to the house* "Jacob Ely! Put me down!" *he just smiled and looked at his lovely long time friend struggling to get out of his strong arms* "your enjoying this ain't you?", "yes because im proving you wrong"*he puts me down* *I turn and look at him smiling at me, I hug him kinda tightly as memories from our childhood come flooding back* -
"Dakota!….you better wait for me your dad told me to watch you" ,"*I turn looking at him* "he didn't mean it literally" "I don't care how he meant it I have to watch over you and I always will" he said smiling smugly "your just cruel and annoying" "oh im the cruel and annoying one?, huh I don't recall taking a catepillar and cooking it in the microwave til it popped, and I don't recall being a 9 yr old girl, who does everything in her will power to annoy her best friend, who has been there since she was born!" "that was a low blow mr. know it all", "you will be ok come on I have to show you something" *he grabs my arm and we walk to the creek and climb up on the boulder* :I carved our names into the side of this boulder" *we lay on our stomachs and look over the edge* "aweee how sweet" * I looked at him smiling* *he hesitates and smiles back*-
"Jake, Jake, Jake, Jake, Jake!", "what is it"*he looks down with one eyebrow arched* "follows" * I grab his hand and start walking down the road* "where are we going" he asks *looking down at our hands* "you will see" *we arrive at the creek and I head towards the boulder leading him* "ohhhh I know", "yep the boulder" * I lay down flat on my stomach beside Jake looking over the side* "I thought about this place while I was hugging you, weird huh? "not really I think about it all the time" "really…" , "yea I wonder sometimes if you remembered" "I did so ha…. Jake um….
