Matt laid on the bed, occasionally crying out in pain. His radiation burns were painful (A/N: to the EXTREME! [1]). So painful that he couldn't even get out of bed (just the thought made him ache). Instead he just laid there, wallowing in pain, while his beautiful girlfriend sat on the edge of the bed, softly but firmly holding onto his hand and crying over him. Things weren't looking too good for Matt, but she still had hope that he would get better. She always did. It wasn't too late. Nothing would take him from her. Not without a fight.
