Mabel Pines stared out the triangular window and smiled. There was to be a meteor shower today so that meant...Mabel giggled and blushed madly. That was a secret that had to be kept from Dipper and Grunkle Stan. Who knew what they'd say if they knew she was seeing...him. The young girl checked the clock on the wall quickly. 10:09. Eleven more minutes until she could leave, sure enough that the entire household was asleep. A soft snore from across the room interrupted Mabel's thoughts and she looked for the source of the sound. Her brother slept soundly in his bed on his side of the small room, where he was completely oblivious to his twin sister's rendezvous. 10:14. Six more minutes, Mabel counted silently. The closer it got to that time, the more nervous Mabel got. She crept out of bed and tip-toed her way to the closet, careful to avoid waking the fat pig sleeping at the end of her bed. She had decided to wear her shooting star sweater, the one he liked so much. 10:17. Three minutes left, Mabel quickly pulled the sweater over her head and brushed her hair, placing a headband over it. Mabel cleaned up, arranging her pillows to look like she had never left. 10:20. It was time to leave now.

With one last look at her slumbering twin , she opened the window and jumped out, sliding down the roof. She landed on the ground with a slight thump and started running. Running to where her heart led her, never looking back. She ran and ran, through the tall tree, past the innocent animals. She ran to an empty field and stopped, panting. This is where they met, every meteor shower. Mabel looked into the sky, where as if on cue, the shower began to start. Bright stars made sparkling trails through the night sky, amazing the girl. "I was beginning to think you weren't gonna show, Shooting Star!" A voice behind Mabel startled her and she spun around. The familiar triangle shape of Bill Cipher hovered in the air. "Bill! You scared me, don't do that!" The unlikely duo laughed and sat down (or hovered, in Bill's case) to enjoy the shower. "I got something fore you, Shooting Star." Bill said and pulled a bouquet of roses out of his top hat. "Oh, Bill! You shouldn't have, you're just too nice!" Mabel accepted the flowers and smelled them, sighing. 'They're beautiful, Bill..." The demon blushed, and turned his head away and said quietly. "But they aren't as beautiful as you, Shooting Star.' Mabel turned her head, "What? Did you say something?" "N-no! Nope, didn't say anything at all! Ah-hahaha!' Bill laughed nervously and turned back to the meteor shower, sneaking glances at the young beauty sitting beside him. Something started beating in his somewhat small chest whenever he looked at Mabel Pines, but he couldn't quite place the feeling. This confused him, and when Bill Cipher was confused, he got angry. But he tried to keep that anger from exploding, possibly harming Mabel. He couldn't do that to her, not right now. This time was special, special for her, and special for her. Very special indeed...
