Piper sat by the lake, dipping her hands into the ice cold water. It was nice how the camp was so quiet before Christmas. There were only a few demigods who stayed. Piper's dad was extremely busy with filming another movie, resulting in Piper staying in Camp for the holiday. Well, it was mostly Jane. Even though her father had fired her months ago, Jane still refused to leave. She was like a bad odor; something that just lingers but is never completely gone. And the last thing Jane wanted to deal with was Piper.

She got up and wiped her hand on her jeans. Piper sighed. Just another day at camp, she thought as her eyes traced the cabins. Each cabin was decorated with something different for Christmas. The Aphrodite cabin smelt like cinnamon and had mistletoe hanging from the archway of the door. The Athena cabin had an owl with a Santa hat perched at the front window. Poseidon's cabin had a big red bow positioned for everyone to see at the head of the cabin. All the campers took the time out of their days to put up decorations to make the holiday a little more fun.

Each cabin was filled with color. Except one. Cabin One, Zeus's cabin. There was no one there, so why should anyone bother with decorating it? Jason was on his quest, Thalia was a Hunter of Artemis. Neither of them were here at the moment, so why go through the trouble? Piper would have, but whenever she came within a thirty foot radius of the place, the tears came out like a waterfall, so Piper tried to avoid the cabin at all costs.
A camper ran at Piper, delight gleaming in her eyes. She grabbed her shoulder and whispered in her ear. Piper nearly choked. The young camper pulled her along towards the Big House. Piper was baffled as to how this could have come to be. Was it possible? Or was this just another one of the tricks her imagination loved to pull on her? No. It wasn't. This was real. The demigod continued to drag Piper until they reached their destination. They stopped. Piper looked back at the girl. She nodded vigorously and pushed Piper towards the door in front of her. Piper put a trembling hand on the door knob and twisted. She felt the tears build up in her eyes. There she saw a boy. His face was in his hands. His body tensed as he heard the door being pushed open. He ran his hand through his hair before looking up. Without a moment of hesitation, he smiled and embraced Piper in a hug and buried his face in her hair.

"I thought you were gone." Piper managed through a tight throat.
"I'll never leave you alone ever again."
"I missed you Sparky."
"I missed you too Beauty Queen." Jason pulled back. "I love you."
A tear rolled down Piper's cheek as she smiled. "I love you too."

For the whole day, the two never parted. They never let go of each other's hands. They sat by the campfire and talked. The same camper that told Piper about Jason's arrival was standing above them. There was that grin on her face as it was earlier. She pulled a string out of her pocket with mistletoe on the end of it. Piper stifled a laugh as Jason shrugged and leaned into her. A jolt of electricity was sent through her whole body, tingling as it went as their lips met.
