A/N: So it's important to say that I got the idea for this story from Red Lighting, so thank you!
I'll try to update as often as I can. I hope you enjoy. Please read and review!

I don't own anything, I wish I did.

- Four years ago -

An ear piercing scream escaped Bobbi's lips as tears streamed down her cheeks. What felt like hours lasted only seconds before her screams faded and a new, higher cry filled the room.

Bobbi breathed in relief as the pain started to fade away, and soon after a small, still crying bundle of blankets was place in her arms.

Once in her arms, the infant stopped crying almost immediately and opened her eyelids to reveal big, soft green eyes.

Bobbi stared into her daughter's eyes and the world seemed to stop. A smile broke to her face, and she laughed as tears streamed down her cheeks. "Hello" she whispered "Nice to meet you, Lilly Morse."

- Present -

Bobbi pushed a stray strand of brown hair from her face as she walked down the hall. It was almost midnight and the Hydra base was mostly empty. A perfect chance for her to explore the place and find out more about what Hydra was doing.

Bobbi glanced behind her before opening the door, entering one of the rooms that she probably wasn't allowed into.

She waited for her eyes to get used to dark, not daring to turn on the light.

She spotted a small bed by the wall, a desk and a wardrobe. There was a small figure curled up on the bed, and a knife laying on the nightstand nearby.

Bobbi narrowed her eyes to try and see the figure more clearly.

Then she took in a sharp breath of surprise, attempting not to make a sound.

It was just a little girl, probably four or five years old. She was sleeping peacefully with her hands tucked under her pillow.

Bobbi's hand shot up to cover her mouth as she tried to put order to her thoughts.

Why's there a little girl in the Hydra base? What they'd do to her?
Where were her parents?

Maybe her racing mind was the reason Bobbi was caught by surprise
when the little girl opened her eyes and sat up in her bed with a gasp.

For a moment they both just stared at each other, until the girl reached for the knife on the nightstand, aiming it towards Bobbi with shaky hands. "Who are you?"

Bobbi held her hands up "My name is Bobbi Morse. Just… Put the knife down, I'm not going to hurt you".

The girl looked hesitated, gritting her teeth.

"It's okay" whispered Bobbi, taking a step forward and twisting the knife out of the girl's small fingers.

The girl then shifted back in her bed and pulled her knees up to her chest, wrapping her arms around them.

Bobbi put the knife away and knelt down in front of her. She could now see her face.

It was somehow familiar, gentle facial features framed in short blond hair.

"Can you tell me your name?" Bobbi asked softly.

The girl bit her lip, as if not sure if she was allowed to do such a thing.

"Lilly". She whispered back eventually, green eyes gazing back at Bobbi.

Lilly.

She heard that name before.
