Just a short somehting something. I wrote it for some Drabble Tag. It was fun! Try drabble-tagging in your free time! So, it's kind of sad, but, well, life's sad. Oh, and it might be short but it's worth reading. Trust me. Enjoy! (all rights to Harry Potter disclaimed)

For The Stars In His Eyes

"Do you see that one?" he asked softly, pointing to the blackness above.

"Where?" She narrowed her eyes in confusion.

"Right there, where the moon used to be." he told her.

She sighed. There he goes again, with those stars of his. She couldn't understand why he wouldn't drop the subject. They've talked about this already - there was no such thing as stars. They didn't exist.

"Harry, there's nothing there." she tried to tell him, but in vain. He wouldn't listen.

"No, there is. Look," he argued stubbornly. She wanted to hug him, if only to reassure her he was still the same Harry he used to be before the accident, before his head wound messed with his brain. Before he thought that wizards and witches were real, and that stars shone brightly in the night sky, and that there used to be something called a moon. She wanted to cry.

"Harry-"

"Look, here, this is Mars. Do you see the way it shines brighter than most? And there-"

She stopped listening. She couldn't keep pretending everything was alright when he talked like that. She just wanted to go home already, so she could curl up in her blanket and cry into her pillow like she did every night. She hated this. She absolutely despised what happened to him.

"Ginny? Thanks for stargazing with me." He smiled that goofy smile of his, the glasses almost falling from their place on his nose.

"Anytime, Harry." She smiled back, trying to keep the overwhelming urge to cry out of the tone of her voice.

"I love you,"

But for moments like this, for the innocent 'I love you', she would take it. She would suffer this torture every single day if it meant she would get to hear him say he loved her. After all, what purpose is there to her life if not for this?

"I love you too."
