For him it had all start with her hand in his. He took her hand to save her but in the end it was her who saved him. In that moment running from the danger with her next to him was all that fill his mind. For the first time ever his mind focused on one thing. The girl who glowed so bright in a world so dark.
Then he found her again. By chance alone she was there on the other side of the cat flap. He used the rouse of check that she wasn't plastic to touch her again. Just to make sure she was really there and not a figment of his imagination. But she was Rose Tyler, and she was so real.
After the war he never thought he would feel anything again. But as the plastic arm attack her he felt fear. Oh how it fill him he had been so scared that her life and light would end and it would be all his fault.
Then he did what he did best. He ran and she followed him asking questions trying to understand. So he took her hand again and explained the turn of the Earth just to feel her hand in his once more before he left.
He couldn't understand what she was doing to him. Once he made it back to his TARDIS he tried to forget her, focusing only on the Autons. But it was all in vain, because she was there again. This girl was a trouble magnet if he ever saw one.
Her face when she walk into the TARDIS for the first time made him smile. He was distracted by her he didn't notice the head begin to melt.
And then she saved him by swing on that chain. He caught her in his arms smiling. He was so glad she was okay.
So he asked her to come with him. However Mickey had to get in the way cling to Rose like a scared child. He saw her step froward wanting to join him, but she couldn't not with that boy holding her back.
So he left. Days went by without her but she was all he could think about. He try to distract himself. He couldn't go back, he never went back. He ran far, fast trying with all his might to out run her memory.
Fallowing distress calls and saving the crew of a ship called Godspeed. Stopping a family from boarding the Titanic. Then meeting a little girl named Rose and saving her and her grandmother form a Zygon.
Still he ran but no matter where he went she was there in the back of his mind. Finally he could stand it no longer, he dropped Ali home on Karkinos. Then he did something he's never done before, he went back.
It had only been a few seconds for Rose but for him it had been almost a year.
He didn't know what he would've done if she had said no again but, she didn't instead she came running his life was never the same.
