The party

It was dark and cold outside. The light that streamed out of windows went into the dark night. The night seemed to eat up the light as if it were a starving animal. There was a light mist that stung as I ran along. As I neared the house I was going to, a shadow came out as the door opened and a black haired man stood in the door way.

"So you decide to show up after all Ed?" The black haired man said. I ran up the steeps till I stood in front of the man. I just stood there panting for a moment try to catch my breath. As my breath came back I stood up.

"Sorry It took me forever to find my key. I ran here as fast as I could." I looked into his face, a part of me knew he was mad, and a part also knew he was just happy I was there. Any way I was there so that all that matters.

He sighed as he opened the door a little wider to let me in. "I'll meat you in the living room, hang your coat up on the rack first." I did as he said to as he walked off to the living room near the back of the house. Once I had hung up the coat I clapped my hand and pressed them to the floor, there was a bright blue light. Once the light was gone I stood up, my boots now dry. I started to walk to the back of the house where I knew Roy to be.

As I got nearer I could see that no lights were on in this part of the house. A flickering light coming from the room I wanted. It was just like Roy, he always lit a few candles and the fireplace on cool night I was over. whenever there was something to celebrate we would drink a little wine and talk the night away. Sometimes we just sat there reading, feeling the heat of the other right there by our side. I liked it, It was always nice to just relax with him.

I turned into the room when a sudden phrase went up nearly making me jump. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY ED!" I looked at my friend who were all there in front of me. In the center of them was Roy holding a cake with a few small candles burning in it. I looked the man in the eyes but he just smiled.

"How did you find out?" I asked, I had never told him.

He only smiled, "Your brother told me." Of course, Al always had something to do with it.

"Make a wish chief!" Jean said patting me on the back. I took a big breath and blew as heard as I could. My wish was at the front of my mind. When I stopped blowing I looked to see all the candles were blown out, they say that means your wish will come true.

"I guess your wish will come true then Ed." I looked over to see the caring face of Riza next to me. I only smiled back and nodded.

"Hey, why don't we sit down and eat before we let him open the presents?" Brenda said from where he stood a little behind Roy on the left side.

I saw Falman nod from Roy's right side, and Furey from next to Brenda. Roy smiled and sat the cake down on A table nearby. "Anyone have a knife?"

"Bye Falman, Bye Furey, see you guys Monday!" They both waved from where they were walking, turning to face me as they did. I closed the door and went back to the room Roy was cleaning up in. I watched as he bent down and picked up some plates that had been left behind on the floor. I walked over to him and hugged him from behind, "Thanks for everything Roy."

He only sat the plates down on a table and turned to me, hugging me back. "No problem." He leaned my head back and kissed me gently, I kissed back. "What did you wish for."

"I already have it." I hugged him harder.

"I love you Ed."

"I love you Roy."
