The autumn leaves were starting to fall, and the streets were filled with yellowing gold. There was a certain serenity lingering in the air. Percy Weasley had taken advantage of this fine day and was outside trying to determine whether or not it was going to rain the following weekend. He was standing on the front porch, leaning over in a most suggestive way, when all of a sudden a loud CRASH, was heard nearby.

"Roxy, I thought you were going to steer", a young female exclaimed, with a voice filled with humour and pain.

"Aw…I think I may have broken my back", came the response.

Percy rushed over, only to see his young daughter, only barely 14 years old, and her one year older cousin Roxanne, lying slumped on the ground like a couple of lumps.

"What are you two up to", Percy asked a little unnecessarily, since it was quite obvious Roxanne was trying to sneak her grounded cousin out of the house, while Percy wasn't looking. "and I suppose this is one of George's inventions, isn't it?", he asked, also unnecessarily, looking down at the previously flying mess of wood and steering equipment.

"Latest model", Roxanne answered while rubbing her aching back.

"Well It's going back to where it came from", he said picking up the remains. "And you two…"

"Percy…I could use some help in here", Audrey's voice, interrupted him.

"Just a minute love"

"I DON'T THINK THIS CAN WAIT"

"Alright…well…Roxanne would you mind going home… And you, back to your room!", he finished harshly, with a stern look at Lucy.

"PERCY"

"I'm coming!"

"Well I best be going then", Roxanne said, turning to Lucy.

"Great, I'll follow you"

"But you're dad said…"

"My dad says a lot of things…I'll be back before he knows it anyway", Lucy started to walk, dragging Roxanne along with her.

They walked in silence for awhile, both consumed in their own thoughts.

"I don't understand you Lucy", Roxanne said after they had reached the street corner, crossing into her street.

"How do you mean?", Lucy asked a bit half-heartedly.

"Of all the people I have met, I have never known anyone with so many different personalities"

"Well what can I say…I'm unique…"

"No I mean…your different…special"

"Does this have a point?", Lucy asked while eyeing a squirrel curiously. They had reached the front porch, when Roxanne finally turned, to look Lucy in the eye. The air was kind of chilly, so Lucy's already pale skin had turned almost white, making her millions of freckles even more evident. Her blue eyes had the same shade as the clear, cloud free sky, and when she smiled, as the squirrel started to scuttle away, the most attractive dimples Roxanne had ever seen, graced her face.

"Lucy?", she said questioningly, and Lucy turned to face her. Roxanne who hadn't actually thought of a continuance to the sentence, stared at Lucy's unbelievably pouty lips and realized she had freckles even there. Without knowing what she was doing, she leaned in and kissed Lucy right there, right then, on the front porch, where everyone could see them. The light was seeping through the front door window and it was starting to get dark outside. She pulled away and looked at Lucy. The shock was as evident as her sky-blue eyes, though she straightened her face hastily, and said with a mocking voice, and a nervous stutter:

"Wow Roxy…way to get my attention huh?"

Roxanne didn't answer. She just stared at Lucy with a childlike glimmer in her eyes.

"So I'll be back tomorrow…", Lucy said, gesturing towards the street. Roxanne nodded and opened her front door. But before closing it, she stared after Lucy for as long as she could see just a hint of that bright red hair.
