Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipmunk House
A/N: Chapters are split into 2 days of the week. Enjoy!
Monday
To be perfectly honest, I don't know how else to put the situation I'm into words that are formed into a long speech. So I'll tell it like this:
Let me start off by saying that my name is Jake. My last name is to remain classified. My mom died of cancer ten years ago when I was eight and dad and I have never seen eye-to-eye since. I attend West Coast State University on a full ride because of some scholarship that I got because of the fact that he went there. I guess that's where all my problems began.
Tuesday
I was never one to make friends fast. But when I found that I shared a dorm with none other than The Chipmunks, I was in for a ride.
I was shaving when I heard little high-pitched cries for help and assistance. I found that it was coming from, of all places, the toilet. I'm called many things, but a person who ignores cries for help is sure as heck not one of them. So I rushed into the closet under the sink and undid they were stuck in and blew into it. Without warning, the trio popped out the sink drain and landed on my back.
"Thanks, man we owe you one." The oldest replied.
"No prob…Whoa you guys talk?" I asked.
"Our lips are moving and words are coming out." The trio replied.
"We're The Chipmunks. I'm Alvin, this is Simon, and that's Theodore."
"Hi." I said as I pinched myself only to find great displeasure in doing so. "You guys must be my roommates. I'm Jake."
"Nice to meet you." Simon said, sounding rather pissed at the fact that I was there.
"Don't mind Simon, Jake." I replied, looking like he took pride in what he was about to say next. "He's just pissed off that the dorms aren't coed and he has to go across the street to talk to his girlfriend, Jeanette."
"Hey, to be upfront, I'd be pissed off, too."
"Jake, do you even have a girlfriend?" Simon asked, as if that was gonna justify anything or prove some point he was trying to make.
"No, I don't." I said bluntly. "I don't need one really. Why? 'Cause girls can get a bit twisty with their wants and needs. I had one and I couldn't keep up with her demands-the girl was very demanding-so I had to cut her loose and break up with her. After that fiasco, I never want another girlfriend."
"If you had one," Simon replied. "You must know what feels like to be so far away from her, even if it's just across the street, right?"
"Dude she was in my house!" I exclaimed. "She was a roommate that was my mom's best friend's daughter! I couldn't be separated from her even if I wanted to. Why? Because she shared my bedroom! That was the creepiest crap that I've ever had to go through!"
"Sorry I brought it up, then." Simon said sounding a little ticked off and jealous. Mostly jealous.
"Whatever dude." I said. "Look class is about to start. We better head out."
"Right!" The trio replied.
So the four of us headed to class, totally unaware of the problems that were to follow.
