Supernatural
"Brothers"
Beautiful Alice
Summary: An outsider watches Sam and Dean bantering with one another, and remembers her own brother.
It was fascinating.
The two of them were bickering nonstop about inconsequential things, and they didn't appear to notice being watched-or rather, they didn't seem to care. She watched as the two of them were arguing about which was better-apple pie versus diet coke-and both were playful as well, like they were still children.
Oh, she knew that they weren't children-their sizes would definitely account for that, and not to mention the way that the shorter one was flirting with the other waitresses so much was highly doubtful of his being a child. And yet…
There was something utterly childlike in the way that the two of them bickered and bantered against one another. She gave a small smile, and decided to pay for their meal. She quickly pulled their waitress (Amy) aside and whispered in a hushed conversation that she wanted to pay for their meal, but that she also wanted to remain confediantle. After paying, she disappeared to the woman's bathroom, but kept the door opened a crack to listen to them accept the payment.
"What do you mean someone's already paid for us?" That was the taller one, she knew. Their voices were very different from one another's, as was their heights. "Why?"
"She said it was because she knew how it was to have a brother, and she wanted to pass on her thanks for reminding her of what it's was like." Amy said, sounding vaguely concerned. She knew Amy, though not personally. It was mostly through seeing her a lot at the diner, though she didn't really talk a lot to the people that worked here. "She also said that she was a…hunter?" Amy asked, vaguely.
The two boys straightened at that, and the shorter one seemed to smile.
"Well tell her that if ever she needs Sam and Dean Winchester's help, that she just tells us that she's the one who tipped us at Orlando's Diner," And when he finished saying it, she briefly wondered which was Sam and which was Dean. The two turned to leave, looking around curiously as though they were trying to figure out who was their donator, and finally gave up and walked out the door. After a few moments, she left the bathroom and went back to her seat, feeling as though she'd done something good today. And while Hal wasn't there beside her, she didn't feel entirely alone either.
She remembered her brother.
And she knew that they were brothers and would be brothers…
Always.
END.

-Just a brief little story that I wrote down. Absolutely no spoilers inside, and no swearing either. Mostly a gen-fic. Hope everyone liked it.
