Just my take on the phone call after the last ep. between Sara and Griss, so tis obviously GSR, duh, read and review, please
"Hey honey" he heard on the other line
"Hey honey" he heard on the other line. "What you up to?"
"Nothing, we just closed a huge case though" Grissom told her.
"Good job, anything else?" he could hear the smile on her face as she replied. He knew how much she missed work.
"Well, I'm sick, and Cath was over earlier" he explained.
"What did she want?"
"Well, her main reason was to brief me on the case, but under that, to investigate our house."
"What else would you expect? What did she find?"
"The picture on the fridge."
"The one of us from San Francisco?"
"Yeah, but don't you care that I was sick?" he pouted.
"Poor baby, but I think I have something to help you get over it."
"What?"
"You'll find out," she ominously said.
"Tell me."
"No, love you," from her tone, he knew it was over, he would just have to wait.
"Love you, bye" he said.
"Bye" she finished, before they both hung up.
A few days later, during shift, Grissom was looking over some evidence from a hit and run with the rest of the team. He picked up a picture to get a closer look, when he felt someone turn him around, and before he knew it, a pair of soft lips were on his. He would know those lips anywhere, and put his hands on her hips, as hers wrapped themselves around his neck. He could hear the boys whooping, and Catherine awing, on the other side of the room, as he pulled the person closer by her hips. He pulled away from the lips, and looked down to see Sara standing there. She definitely looked better then when she had left, both her eyes, and skin was brighter, and her smile was bigger then any he had seen since she was taken.
"I told you I would help you get over it" she whispered in his ear as he pulled her into a hug. She defiantly had.
I do realise that this is unlikly, but a girl can dream right?
