Here's Day 3! I'm rushing to post this before I go to sleep!

Today's Prompt: Gingerbread Houses

Disclaimer: I don't own Gravity Falls or Walmart.

Mabel hums a random Christmas tune as she skips down an aisle at Walmart. Her mother had sent her and Dipper to pick up some stuff for dinner tomorrow night and Mabel wanted to pick up some Christmas cookie ingredients. She's looking for some chocolate chips when something catches her eye. She screeches to a halt and backs up a few steps to try to find whatever she saw that looked interesting. When she finds it, her eyes light up.

Dipper is standing at the front of the store near the doors just next to multiple rows of check out lines. He's holding two plastic bags in one hand and his phone in the other. While Mabel had gone searching for cookie ingredients right when they stepped in the door, he used the money their mom gave them to actually get what she asked them to get. Now he's been standing here for almost 20 minutes wondering when Mabel would be done.

Dipper is about to text her to find out where she is when out of nowhere, three more plastic bags are thrust into his hands. He scrambles to get a hold of them as Mabel immediately begins talking.

"Dipper, I found Gingerbread House kits! We can't go to Gravity Falls until the school semester is finished, but that doesn't mean we can't make our home in Piedmont at least look a little more festive! Come on, let's go!" She exclaims in a rushed manner before she starts half walking, half running to the exit while Dipper still isn't looking and trying to adjust the multiple bags on his arms into a more comfortable position.

"Mabel, in case you've forgotten, we came here on our bikes and I don't think that riding with this many bags is going to be easy, or safe for that matter...Mabel!" He calls as he looks up and finally sees that already gone and runs towards the exit himself.

When Mr. and Mrs. Pines return home that evening, they arrive to a rather strange, but adorable scene.

First, in the kitchen on the counter, they see two gingerbread houses.

One is neatly put together, with the frosting holding everything together nicely and decorated beautifully with different candies and many colors that somehow worked together perfectly. There's also a pink M on the side of the roof.

The other house looks like it was nicely put together, but the decorations certainly were lacking when compared to the other one. Somehow though, the more plain house still looked nice as on it's own with the minimal decorations. It also has a blue D on the side of the roof.

The married couple smiled that the display. It truly did show the best qualities of their children. Speaking of their children, where were they?

The couple found them sprawled out on the couch, candies scattered on the floor around them and remnants of frosting evident on their hands and faces. The parents' smiles grow larger. Their children were special things, and the couldn't be more grateful for them.

Hope you enjoyed! Sleep well and...yeah. Goodnight!
