"Alec!" he heard Magnus yell. What happened? he thought. Then searing pain shot through his body and he screamed.
Fear and panic in the air

Alec know he's been hurt, badly. He could hear voices around him panicking. "Fix him!" what sounded like Isabelle said. "Back off!" someone snapped. The voice sounded like Magnus, "I'm doing what I can!" "C'mon," what he thought was Jace said, "let Magnus have his space. He needs to work."
I feel like everything i saw
is being swept away
Alec could only think of Magnus. He knew his family, Jace, and Clary would be devastated if he died but all that came to his mind was Magnus's face. All he thought of was that he had to hold on for Magnus.
Well I refuse to let you go
Pain seared through Alec again. "Alec, hang on." Magnus said. He tried to keep his voice calm but Alec could hear the panic. "I'm going to fix you." his voice was determined. Alec wanted to cry. The warlock had given him everything and this is how he repays him? By practically getting himself killed?

Alec cried out in pain. "No!" he heard Magnus shout, "Hush! You'll be fine!" Magnus's voice cracked on the last word. Alec felt dizziness sweep over him. He felt so disconnected from everything around him.

Alec remembered everything from when he first met Magnus. How he noticed the warlock staring at them at his party when they arrived to ask about his signature in Clary's mind. When he was traded for Jace when Clary was asked to see the Seelie Queen.
life will flash before my eyes
He remembers when Clary drew the fearless rune on him and he almost told his parents, the inquisitor, Jace, Luke, and Maia that he was gay. He remembered when he had so quickly dismissed Magnus to aviod suspitions. He had to survive. He also didn't want to cause the warlock anymore pain with his foolishness.

Alec remembered being at Accords hall so desperately searching for Magnus and then kissing him in front of every Shadowhunter and Downworlder in there including his parents. He remembers all of the disapproving stares the shadowhunters gave him and how they despised him for that on the inside. How they looked at Magnus like he was disgusting...
And no one thinks they are to blame
Why cant we see that when we bleed we bleed the same?
The only thing on his mind was Magnus and how sorry he was...For everything he did.
