A PJO/HOO fanfic
Oh, one thing. Sorry for the overly dramatic prolouge. You may skip it if you like to.
Edit: I still have the original version, and it's called The Original Prologue of The Oath. Read at your own... I dunno. Risk?
Edit once more: No. Calypso's not killing herself anymore.
Disclaimer: I do not own any of the characters or the story. I only own the story of my own plot.
Prologue
Leo lay on his back on the sand which was littered with jagged stones and pebbles. The raft was wrecked, what remained of it were few pieces of wood, washed up onto the shore. The sky was dark, and the winds whipped the waves, sending them crashing into the shores. Calypso sat next to the demigod, humming an Ancient Greek lullaby while running her fingers throught his curly hair.
"I didn't manage to get you out, Calypso. You're still stranded on an island," he whispered.
"It's alright, Leo," Calypso murmured softly, her eyes softer than usual despite the situation. She knew something that Leo didn't know, and had already resigned herself to that fate.
"But I promised you."
"And you have fulfilled that promise. I am... off Ogygia," she said in a gentle tone, giving him a small smile.
"I hope I did, Calypso," said Leo, his hand reaching out to caress Calypso's face.
"Yes you sure did. You did. I - We'll be able to get off this island once more," Calypso assured.
"Yes. We will. I'm feeling very tired. I think I'll catch a nap."
"Sleep then, Leo. Get some rest." And maybe eternal peace. Calypso bit back her tears, and brushed her the back of her hand on Leo's cheek, fearing that she'll never be able to do so again.
Ooh. Cliffie! I hope you don't find me weird. Yeah. Talking to myself doesn't count as weird, right? I don't really take much pride in being weird, but since I don't really have many friends, I'll usually talk to myself. Right.
