Warnings: Season 5 – Lucifer wants to talk with his vessel and chooses his moment carefully.
It was supposed to be a simple exorcism, except for one slight glitch. This was no demon.
The Devil was in Georgia.
She had been arranging altar flowers in Chicago's Holy Name Cathedral when demonic smoke jumped her. That was bad. What happened next was worse, and lured in the Winchesters - but Sister Georgia's soul didn't flee screaming until Lucifer arrived - fed-up of dream-stalking Sam, ready for a face-to-face.
No matter the guise, Sam wasn't fooled. Only Angels can break Solomon's seals.
"Hurting Dean gets my attention, not compliance," Sam growled.
Sulking, Lucifer let Dean's bloody unconscious body drop.
A/n - ok I know, a silly and tenuous link to the title but hey, a joke's a joke, right? I couldn't fit in too much detail about the location, but I did visit this cathedral on my trip to Chicago last autumn, thanks to my lovely local guide, my internet friend Viana!
