A/N: I found this short and really sweet fic from my computer. I can't remember how long ago I wrote this but it must have been a long time. Anyway I hope you enjoy it even though it's maybe a bit overly sweet and really really short :D Review to tell what you think about it.
Neal stopped at a flower boutique to buy Kate some flowers. Kate was the most beautiful girl Neal had ever seen and he wanted her to feel beautiful too.
He chose the most expensive roses and headed home. On the way he stopped also to buy a bottle of Bordeaux -82. A full bottle. One bottle costs 800 dollars. And Neal was happy he finally had the money to buy Kate the wine she loved and not fake it by filling the bottle with some cheap wine.
Then he did the last stop before home and bought a box of Belgian chocolates. Kate loved them too. And Neal loved Kate. He loved her so much he never wanted to stop reminding Kate of it.
Neal hurried home to find his lovely wife waiting at the door. They had moved to the suburban when Kate got pregnant for the second time and now her tummy was growing fast. Their first daughter was going to born in a few months.
"Hey honey. Happy anniversary my dearest." Neal greeted with a big smile and kissed Kate softly on the lips.
Kate was smiling too as she pulled her husband closer and softly bit his lower lip. Then she pulled away only enough to see Neal's expression.
"I made dinner." Kate laughed sweetly and pulled Neal inside. Neal laughed softly too. Kate's laugh was the cutest laugh he had ever heard.
He gave the flowers and the chocolates to Kate and went to the kitchen to open the wine bottle.
When he returned to the dining room, Kate had light the candles on the table and was now kneeling next to a small boy who was holding his mother's hand and a teddy bear.
"I don't want to go to bed yet." The boy said quietly but was interrupted by a huge yawn. He was very tired and already wearing his pajamas.
"Let me take him upstairs." Neal asked and raised the boy to his arms. "Come on Junior. Let's go." Kate giggled as Neal carried the boy upstairs making silly faces and getting even the sleepy kid laugh.
He lowered the child carefully to his bed and pulled the blanket over him.
"Sweet dreams Junior." He whispered and kissed the boy's forehead. The boy was already on sleep. Had been ever since Neal put him down on the bed.
Neal closed the door silently and walked back downstairs. Kate was already waiting for him and sipping the wine he had brought.
Neal grabbed a glass himself and couldn't help thinking how happy he was and no one would ever take his love away from him. Never. And they would be happy together forever.
"Wake up honey." Kate whispered to Neal's ear waking him up.
Neal opened his eyes but didn't see the big suburban house's bedroom. They were sleeping in a small but comfortable bed in their tiny apartment. The place they had been living ever since they moved together.
"It was just a dream." Neal almost could feel a tear falling down his cheek. But then he turned to look at the woman he loved. Kate was smiling exactly the same way as in his dream. Only she was much more beautiful than he had remembered.
"One day I will give her everything she deserves. Everything she wants." Neal promised himself.
