Summary- What if a Gilmore Girl Bonding Night resulted in someone making Luke see? Takes place late season five, post "Super cool Party People". Javajunkie of course!!

Disclaimer-I don't own Gilmore Girls, If I did, this would have happened in the show. That and several other things I would change. For example, Chris would have been hit by a bus after season 2.

Author's note- please review. I love reviews, and they make me update faster.

Chapter 1-Girl talk

"So, I don't think you ever told me the whole story of how you and Luke officially got together" Rory told her mom during one of their world-famous bonding nights."

"Really? I must have" Lorelai responded

"Not really. You told me when it happened, but not really the whole story."

"Well, then get cozy and get ready for a story. It was about 2 years ago, at the test run of the Dragonfly. It was late, so pretty much everyone else had gone to bed.Luke came up to me, and we started talking. He said something about feeling stupid and asked if he was a mysterious man and said he thought he'd been very clear with his intentions. The conversation got very heated, and he stormed off onto the porch. I followed him, and by this point he was in a full-blown Luke Rant. Then he mentioned when he walked me home after Liz's wedding and said he thought there was a moment. I said there was, and then he leaned toward to kiss me. I asked what he was doing, and he told me to 'just stand still'. Then, I kissed him back and just as it was about to cross the border into a full-blown make-out session, Kirk came running down the stairs, screaming, completely nude except for a pillow placed strategically in front of him," she paused here, wanting a reaction from her daughter. And she got it.

"Ah Jeez! Way too much of a visual, mom!"

"just trying to paint a picture" Lorelai said while laughing. "Anyway, Luke ran off after Kirk, then I headed back to the house for band-aids, a camera, and to get you. And, well, you know what happened after that."

"Yeah. Mom, do you think Luke is the reason you didn't marry max?"

"wow. Yeah. I mean, the main reason I didn't marry max is because I didn't love him, and couldn't picture myself growing old with him. Mainly because I was in love with someone else. I was just too stubborn at the time to see it."

"is it true you proposed?"

"yep."

"cool. I think that's great. You've always been the kind of woman to see what she wants and go after it. Even if sometimes it takes you a while to realize that what you want is right in front of you." Rory said pointedly. "so, whats going on with you guys now?"

"Honestly, I don't know."

"how can you not know? Your engaged to the guy, so If anyone would know, it should be you."

"yes, it should be, but its not. And its killing me. I wish he would just talk to me. Really talk to me. Then I would know where we stand. But at the moment, I feel like we're light years apart. I love him, and I doubt he does if he's acting like this. Or ever did."

"that's awful mom. So, I hate to leave like this, but I have to get back school."

This wasn't entirely true, but she had someone she had to see.
