"Make yourselves at home, I´ll just fetch the popcorn." Piper led them to his living room. It was weekly movie night for the West´s and Piper. Sometimes along with the Garricks, fellow speedsters and various superheroes just popping up uninvited - but it was not like they really were offended by that. Usually movie night was at Piper´s place. Wally claimed that he just wanted to enjoy Piper´s audio surround system...and it was coincidentally a good excuse for getting the children away from breakable things like Linda´s Pulitzer, several vases, the TV, the computer, ...

And Wally had decided (secretly of course) to keep an eye on Piper. He trusted his friend with his life, but after all what happened, he just wanted to make sure Piper was not having...a relapse. Since the murder of his parents, the Rogue war, Bart, and his time on the run...he wasn´t the stablest person around. Not Piper´s fault, certainly not, but after all what happened to him...Wally wanted to make sure he didn´t get hurt again.

Piper became a part of their little family. They would have been glad to make him a godfather, but the honors were already gone to Jai´s and Iris´s namesakes. Piper just laughed at the matter; his was one of the stupidest names ever anyway.

After two months Trickster was always found at movie night, too.

Then he was there whenever Wally visited.

Then he was just there. Always.

Wally decided to ask Piper about that fact.

Piper arched an eyebrow and shot him a confused look.

"James and I have been dating for six months now. Don´t tell me you never noticed-"

Wally mentally whacked himself. "Have an appointment, gotta run, seeya later-"

"Great, Wallace," he told himself, "always the same excuse when you don´t notice his love life." And it didn´t help him that much that he really did had an appointment.

Back in the apartment James emerged from the bathroom, clad in only a big, fluffy towel (a Snoopy and Woodstock towel).

"Was that speedy-kid?"

Piper nodded.

"What happened?"

"I had to tell him that we were dating."

"He didn´t notice?!" Tricks began to laugh at that. "Come on, it´s not as if we were any subtle, is it?"

Piper thought about it.

"Nope. We were anything but subtle."
