The cold winter wind blew past Ryou's delicate skin that blended in well with the snow that had settled itself atop the ground. "It's bloody cold out here!" He had exclaimed to the deserted street. He thought that it would be a wonderful idea to walk to a very special friend of his' house in the dead of the winter night. Though when he had left it was not as cold as it was at that very moment. His gloved hand shuffled its way inside the pocket of his jeans and pulled out his phone. The bright green numbers displayed 9:00 sharp across his foggy screen. He was debating in his head weather or not to call his special friend or not. Granted it was starting to get late and he did not want to burden anyone but then again... He gripped his phone between gloved fingers and continued on his walk, gripping his huge winter coat and brought it flush against his neck in an effort to keep as much warmth in as possible.
Ryou had gotten another two blocks before the cold really started to settle deep in his bones. His teeth had started to chatter and his whole frame was visibly shaking. "I think it is time I called someone to come pick me up." Ryou had found a nice little bench that was located directly under a street light at the other side of the road. He slowly and carefully, you never know where there may be black ice, made his way under the safety of the bright and orange glow of the light. He decided to dial Bakura's number and put it up to his ear, listening to the droning of the ringing on the other end.
"What?" A somewhat annoyed but soothing voice answered the phone. "B-Bakura? W-Will you come p-pick me up please?" There was a moment of silence and before Bakura finally answered. "Tell me where you are." After telling the older spirit where he was, Ryou was finally in the comfort of a nice and warm fire in his special friend's house. "I want to thank you for allowing me stay the rest of the night with you Yuugi." Yuugi had flashed one of his boyish smiles and gave Ryou his cup of hot chocolate. "Not a problem Ryou." Yuugi gave Ryou a quick and friendly hug then he went off up the stairs and into his own room. Ryou took a sip of his drink and then set it atop the small table that adorned the room. He layed atop the couch and snuggled as deep into the covers as he could. There Ryou had wonderful dreams of Yuugi and himself playing in the snow and having a good 'ole time.
Please read and let me know what I can do to improve this oneshot. Lavi-Chan. P.S. Yes I know the title has nothing to do with the story inside but I like to think of the "cold winter wind" as the kiss.
