Prof. Darius was pleased with the new results. It wasn't the sad excuse of the mob hybrid children but something new, something... unexpected and thrilling.
Within two large tubes were souls. Yes, you heard it right: SOULS. One night two very different yet unique souls appeared out of nowhere in the corner of an empty lab room. However, there was something that no one expected about these SOULS: One was a beautiful, shining, emerald green. While the other one was... Upside down, pearly white, heart shaped SOULS.
The scientists were baffled at this new discovery. But it soon became a whole new research within the facility. No sooner they found out what it was and where they came from they became even more shocked.
They were both a HUMAN SOUL and a MONSTER SOUL. All from another dimension called UNDERTALE.
Acording from the book of that said universe:
Long ago, two races ruled over Earth:
HUMANS and MONSTERS.
One day, war broke out between the two races.
After a long battle, the humans were victorious.
They sealed the monsters underground with a magic spell.
That said place was called Mount Ebott.
Legends say that those who climb the mountain never return.
And finally after all those years, they thought it was nothing but a myth, proof was right before his eyes.
And now he can finally conduct his new research on SOULS. And what makes further research, is to create new specimens.
However there was one issue:
These SOULS needed a new physichal body in order to survive.
MONSTER SOULS will not surive for at least a few seconds. They were made of compassion, kindness and love. And most importantly; magic. When they die, their bodies will turn into dust and their SOULS will shatter.
HUMAN SOULS on the other hand have something that MONSTERS don't: DETERMINATION. Their SOULS persist after death.
So...If a HUMAN SOUL had survived long enough inside the facility.
How did a MONSTER SOUL survived as well?
Here's a simple answer: This was a BOSS MONSTER'S SOUL.
Like HUMANS they carry as much as DETERMINATION as they could. They are said to be the strongest within their kind.
There were so many possibilities to create and discover within this research, needed to find new physichal hosts for them.
Perhaps he could introduce to the 'other' specimens much later.

This is slightly AU but there won't be much interaction with the MCSM crew (it depends but again no involvement with the episodic games). And made this as a crossover too.
