A bard named Mui traveled all around the world and had seen all the beauty it can show. There lived a beautiful dancer named Shanee who was always banished in her room. A day came when Shanee was let out of her room, not knowing she was going to be sold as a slave. She was immediately put in a cage which was placed where the whole square could see her. Tears fell from her eyes as she felt shame. Mui was nearby playing songs for money when he heard the sobs of someone. He looked up and saw the most beautiful girl sitting in a cage crying. He immediately took all of his earnings he ever made and bid it on that one girl. Mui and Shanee fell in love as they went on a journey together. It was hard for them since Mui had lost all of his money to save Shanee. Soon he fell into a disease and lost his eyesight. As he lay in his bed, he told Shanee, "Of all the beautiful things the world has to offer, and of all the things I have ever seen… you are the most beautiful, even more so than the brightest star of the best sunset." They married and gathered enough money to buy a house and lived there. With Shanee's help, Mui learnt what true beauty was and with Mui's help, Shanee learnt what freedom felt like. And they lived happily ever after.
