Jellal admired his somewhat unenthusiastic lover from her perch on the kitchen counter, delight on her features. Meredy lay curled up in the corner of the sofa, a book spread in her lap, and a serene look on her face, rivaling the usual stoic expression. Long, pink hair fell smoothly over her shoulders, cascading in a still river when she pushed back her hood. Bright green eyes scanned the pages of text, interest flicking across them. Jellal sighed and leaned back; he really had quite a catch. Meredy's eyes glanced up for a second, but then she lowered her gaze, muttering, "The airhead's got a leak."
Jellal grinned brightly, "Just in love, sweetie." Meredy's pale cheeks flushed almost instantly, but she stubbornly responded no more. Turning a page with enough care to attend to an injured dove, she promptly ignored her rather passionate partner. Jellal's gold eyes watched her with amusement.
