Disclaimer: I sadly own none of this…well except the plot, Olwyn Dell, Carly Black, and any thing or person you don't recognize…:0)
AN: Well here we are. This little diddy is just the product of severe summer boredom. If you like this first little installment than PLEASE review (even if you hate it…but don't be too harsh cuz' mean people suck.) I'd really like to continue this story but I just don't see the point if no one wants to read it.

Platform 9 ¾ was nothing like Carly could ever imagine- hundreds of students pushing, shoving, and squeezing their way around the relatively large platform. Normally, Carly imagined, the space would be more than enough room for a second platform, however, add one crowd of Hogwarts students, trunks, and animals and the place became stuffy and positively tiny.
Gripping her cart trolley tightly, Carly joined the pulsating mesh of people- pushing herself closer to the large, scarlet train. Steam billowed up from the huge machine and the hissing of its engine was strangely inviting. No, what made her hands shake was not the grandeur of the Platform or even the apprehension of starting over in a new school, but looks she was receiving as she plowed through the crowd.
Just over 5'3 and thin, Carly was often sought after in a crowd. Dark brown hair that bordered on black fell in gentle curls past her shoulders, framing a tan face. Colored lips sat below a nose neither too long nor large. Yet it was her eyes that made people stare; framed by long, thick lashes her eyes were large and bright. Neither green nor blue they seemed to settle between the two colors- brilliant and exotic. They flashed out at the world with confidence- stunningly beautiful in their own, unusual way.
Carly concentrated on the task ahead of her- within hours she'd begin her new life at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, the most prestigious school on Earth for student wizards. Even her old school, West Coast Academy of Magic, couldn't compare to Hogwarts. Everyone in her family had gone to Hogwarts and Carly had practically forced her mom to let her come to Britain. As it was Carly had only just received permission in her fifth year.
Carly imagined her old school now- a tall Spanish style building settled in Southern California near her home. Brightly colored orchids and lilies lined the front brick walk leading up to the heavy front door. Its whitewashed walls contrasted sharply with the coral tile on the roof that made Carly think of the sun. The hallways were wide and bright, filled with sun-washed students decked out in surf shorts and Oakley's.
WAM.
Carly's thoughts were jarred as she collided head on someone. A tall, dark haired, green eyed someone. Carly Black found herself face to face with Harry Potter.
