Well, this is my first story on this site. Whether you love it, hate it, or just think it's average, please review. After all, I might be so traumatized by the silence that I'll have to see a psychiatrist for the rest of my life. or not. Kidding.

By the way, I own absolutely nothing contained herein. All characters and locations are the property of Blizzard Entertainment and its subsidiaries blah blah blah.

Without further ado, here will begin the story of a troubled soul struggling to.

Voice of Reason: Shut it and give them the story already!

Uh, yeah. Action!

Angel Dark, Demon Bright

I am called Illidan Stormrage. I am a Demon Hunter.

Or was, anyway.

Now I am called many things. Defiler. Monster. Betrayer. I am neither demon nor Night Elf nor undead. I am something more than all three combined. I had power beyond measure. I had legions of minions ready to die for me. Until recently, I had an entire world to conquer and bend to my will.

Now I have none of these things.

Now I crawl through the Northrend snow, wounded, alone. My armies have been routed. My power was no match for Arthas.

Arthas. How I underestimated him. It does not matter now. I have what to any mere elf or lesser demon would be a mortal wound. But my need for revenge is stronger than life. I need no sustenance, for I have my hate. I need no master, for I will never be a servant again.

I can wait. Everyone dies. Even Arthas, that little human who is now Lord of the Dead, will die. Even as he sits upon his throne of ice, he will live only if he is not slain.

I can wait. I've become very good at it. Ten thousand years entombed in solid rock tends to have that effect on a being. I shall rise up when the world has forgotten me and show all who mocked me what the rage of a god is like. Even as I leave a trail of my own blood through the drifts, I vow to never, ever die. Like Arthas, I plan to live forever.

They can't stop me. No one can.

I'll show them. I'll show them all.

Do you hear me Arthas? I'm coming for you. It's only a matter of time.
