S O N N Y M O N R O E doesn't really know what to think anymore.

The thoughts are no longer her own, because she's just such an open person.

She trusts people too easily, which in the end leaves her lying on her face.

The people who know her, and actually know her, knows she loves to write. songs, stories, sketches.

They don't understand why, but they don't ask a lot of questions to begin with.

-

She always writes, and maybe it has sharpened her attention to the world, because she looks at things too closely, and over thinks a lot.

It must have started with that damn star hung perfectly centered on her dressing room door. Words Sonny Monroe engraved in it.

All sides the same, all angels matching and the lines just perfectly straight.

The whole thing just seems perfect & it mocks her.

Those straight lines and perfect angels were something she never could and never will be able to put on paper.

Only to justify the now scribbled and ruined paper that lies beside the trash can.

She comforts herself with thoughts of logic.

The sky isn't full of five sided geometric shapes.

its full of something else she could never take and put onto paper.

and with that she gives up.

-

I hear she has a lively imagination.

her eyes are always so distant and warm.

nobody interrupts her reverie. Not that anybody would bother.

she's just simply lost up in that imagination of hers.

and its funny, because the word sounds so insignificant to you.

you feel strange just saying it.

it's a word your kindergarten teacher would use when explaining the finer side of life.

imagination. It was justimmature.

imatureimatureimatureimmature

the word doesn't bother her as much as it would anyone else, usually she's not even listening, caught up in her 5th grade façade.

she hears that word so much now. But it doesn't hurt her. Not really. Her name just kind of blends in with it in every sentence.

Even not spoken but its betrayed by the eyes so much like every other little secret or thought people try to hide now a days.

luckily she's a better liar.

-

luckily she's a better liar.

With her unreachable dreams and those people who know it, she sees the liars too often.

she has no other choice then to be a little bit better then them.

and so she does,

she pretends the world is not half as horrible as it seems, ( because her imagination just works wonders)

she tells them 'oh of course its fine!' to who ever asks for something from her. ( the spoken words still hang in the air, put together words that scream no, it's not really.)

And she looks away when ever her 5 sided geometric shape turns out to be the crumpled paper at the side of the room. ( She still tells herself it's impossible anyways. )

but don't worry, she says everything's fine.

she's getting better at lying, even to herself.

why'd you think she wanted to be an actress so bad?

(& it's not only because she wanted to be somebody else for a day )
