"Chronojet Dragon, attack the Vanguard!"
"No guard..."
The two teens imagined it. The Steampunk dragon's fist, striking the flower maiden, Ahsha. Ahsha fell to the ground, and her forces retreated from Cray.
"Again?" Tokoha sighed as she placed her top card into the damage zone. She knew Shion had already beat Chrono, and she wanted to as well. Unfortunately, after 5 consecutive matches and no luck, she was beginning to lose hope. She invited Chrono back to her house to play some games, as the shop was closed due to lack of staff, and they were bored out of their wits.
'He might be better than Mamoru...' she thought. But yet, looked at him with admiration. The young male had through so much. Growing up without parents, having little to no friends and becoming a Vanguard prodigy so easily. It was real talent. Or extraordinary luck, which she wouldn't put past him. She had unstacked Chrono's deck multiple times, even told him to remove some triggers, and yet Chrono always pulled what he needed at the critical moment. She hated it.
And yet, she loved it. She loved how he found a way out of every tough spot. Even when life looks bleak, when his father was taken away from him, when he was fighting to free those at United Sanctuart, he was still able to pick himself up after every loss. He even helped her get her out of her slum. Tokoha smiled at her weirdly shaped hair friend. She wad glad she met him.
She couldn't take it. He was right there, shuffling his deck, looking at his cards, smiling. It was as if he had some spiritual bond to these cards. She loved the mystery of Chrono, she loved Chrono. She pounced on him, and gave him a smooch on the cheek. Chrono yelped in surprise of the green haired girl's affection. His cards fell to the ground, and so did he. Tokoha opened her eyes, realizing what she had done.
"Oh... uh... I'm... really sorry about... that..." Tokoha whispered sheepishly. It was just a moment of passion. She was so into it. She looked at the ground and helped Chrono pick up his cards, but as she was doing so, Chrono appeared on top of her, and gazed deeply into her eyes.
"If you want to be 'friendly', Tokoha, do it right." He said, almost like a teacher lecturing a student. His face leaned in to hers, and he pressed his lips against hers. His hand caressed her legs, and before he got ahead of himself, he placed them back onto Tokoha's head.
"You're always so forward..."
"You're not any more subtle..."
Both teens got back up and shared a laugh.
"God, I love you."
"I love you too."
