Bandashii
Origin and Abilities: Bandashii's are creatures originally from the human world, considerably from the Asian regions. Bandashii's thrive in the purity of a child's imagination, which had led human Asian folklore to describe them as a "Spirit Child". This has led many judgmental monsters saying that Bandashii's should not be allowed to remain in the monster world let alone be considered monsters. Of course, a child's imagination is how children develop fantasies as well as fears. Every aspect of a child's imagination are what Bandashii's love to influence, including the imagination that develops fear. Even though a Bandashii's appearance seems to be mythical and colorful, it almost seems pointless to have a scary figure when your ability is to affect a child's mind directly.
Although, the course of the child's imagination depends on the child, the Bandashii in merely there to enhance the experience. Which also makes Asian culture in the human world refer to some Bandashii being good spirits or evil spirits. Bandashii's float and drift around as if they have zero gravity, but with one swish of their tail they can go soaring through the air at any pace, speed, or direction they wish. They have formidable maneuvering capabilities, considering they can zip around and through anything effortlessly. There have been questions about how they move through the air effortlessly without wings or altering the air, the answer was very peculiar. The colorful appendages coming off their tail and crest are where their maneuvering and flying capabilities lie. How they work is so far beyond understanding.
Social Standing: A Bandashii's attributions is a prolonged debate within monster society. Many monsters are not particularly sure whether or not if Bandashii's should be considered a monsters or still be considered a spirit as they were in the human world. Some veteran scarers have commented Bandashii's as being a smaller version to a Japanese dragon, which was a powerful mythical creature in the human world that was revered. Even to monsters, seeing one first hand is a rarity. Even though most younger monsters most likely wont recognize one; usually only the elderly and veteran monsters can professionally recognize one. Because a Bandashii's traits are rarely seen in the monster world, anyone seeing one for the first time are frequently mesmerized. Bandashii's were adopted into the monster world by the early 18th century when they were nearly instinct.
Now, their numbers have climbed to a reasonable height. The reason why they are still rarely seen in the monster world is because Bandashii's take great dedication to their family. From the human world to the monster world, Bandashii's have always been a firm family oriented society. Even a maturing Bandashii will unlikely leave their family group, but because of the monster world is becoming more modern, Bandashii families have readapted their traditions and values by allowing young adults of their family groups to venture out for five years to pursue in anything they deem necessary. This usually means getting an education or coming back with something admirable. If the family is reasonable and understanding, they will typically allow the family member to remain out in the monster world.
