Storms

Emma sighed as she lay in her bed very unwillingly wide awake so early on a Saturday, even if there was a light rainstorm going on outside. It was a few days after the 'Mob House Bonfire or MHB' incident and she still wasn't used to the idea that both herself and Andy had a place to permanently call 'Home', let alone having a family. She lightly ran a hand down her face, wondering if Andy was also having just as much trouble processing all of... everything, really.

"Emma?" A familiar voice quietly asked from the other side of her bedroom door, piercing the vocal silence. "Are you awake?"

Chuckling lightly, Emma sat up and spoke up just as quietly in case others were still asleep, "Yeah, come on in Andy."

The younger brunette slipped inside, gently closing the door before she quietly moved to open the window in the room a little ways to let the sounds of the rain and thunder in easier. Once she was sure the window was basically locked in place, she darted onto the bed and curled against Emma's side, the blonde's left arm draping over her shoulders.

"I missed storms like this." Andromeda admitted after a few minutes, "Boston didn't have much weather like this, although I miss the warm temperature Texas had when it stormed even more."

Emma nodded in agreement as she began to smile at the memories, "Yeah, I remember when you would run out into the rain without a care in the world. Then when you got sick, I'd be the one to make you chicken noodle soup but remove the chicken because your so picky."

Andromeda pouted a bit at how true that statement is, "Okay yes I tend to do be a little picky, but you know how strong my taste buds are."

"Yeah, and now we know the reason why!" Emma playfully exclaimed as she ran her left hand through the back of Andy's short hair, lightly scratching that would lead to Andy almost purring.

They both yawned softly while watching the storm outside of the window, feeling content but no longer tired.

"Emma?" Andromeda asked quietly, "Do you feel like this is all a really weird dream, too?"

"It would explain a lot of things." Emma replied, looking thoughtfully out at the rain that picked up a bit, "But Andy, I think we both know that even though this entire situation seems so out of place some part of us completely accepts it as normal."

Andromeda snorted lightly, "Yeah, and to think you used to find my obsession with tornadoes as the weirdest thing in our lives."

"Are you kidding me?" Emma asked as she pulled Andromeda into a headlock and tickled her, "That is still probably the most dangerous thing in our lives!"

Unknown to the two laughing and horsing around in Emma's room, Regina had woken up from a particularly loud crack of lightning and had begun to enjoy the storm herself as well. Not wanting to interrupt the two childish women, she moved on down the hallway to the stairs shaking her head slightly as their laughing continued to gain volume.

"Children." Regina muttered with her trademark smirk when there were two loud yelps as Henry's voice joined the others with a loud 'Canon ball!'.
