" Boys! We are not here to be messing around!" Annabeth says fiercely. " We are still waiting for the last two people of this quest, and we need to come to peace with the Romans!"
" Well They- whoever they are- aren't arriving anytime soon. They've missed everything we have been planning, and haven't helped us out at all! I don't see why they should come and what they are to us if they let us do all the work" Jason says.
" Actually, we have been helping out." A voice says behind me. I turn to see a girl standing 5 feet away. Her long dark brown hair was swept to the side a little like an ocean breeze made it that way. She's tall and has very buff arms underneath her leather jacket with head phones dangling on her shoulders. She's wearing jeans with worn out holes, but you can see all the muscle poking out like she goes to the gym a lot. Her combat boots just make her look even more bad-ass. Then I notice her eyes that were glaring at me. One was the color of the richest blue calm ocean, and the other of a stormy green sea. Her ears from what I could see were lined up with piercing.
" I have actually have been doing a lot to help this quest. I've been looking for Percy, talking with Annabeth about battle strategies and came up with half of what we should do on this little adventure, helping Thalia with your quest to save the goddess that damned us all, and have been on other quests." she takes three steps forward threatingly and I catch myself lowering down. I'm afraid of her! " So yes, I have been doing more things than you for this quest. Even the kid with fire has done more than you" She walk off and sits next to Percy, who is trying to hold in his laughter. So is Annabeth.
Reyna clears her throat. " what is your name?" she asks the girl testily. Obviously she too is intimidated by her.
" Maverick" she replies.
" Maverick as in one of the most dangerous surfing places in cali?" Piper asks Maverick.
" yep. That exactly."
" do you know anyone here?" Reyna asks.
' yes. My brother Percy and his girlfriend Annabeth." Maverick says. Everyone but percy and Annabeth stare at her dumbfounded.
" another one of the big 3?" hazel asks.
" can we please get on topic?" reyna asks. " this war, the giants are coming in 15 day-"
" 5" maverick intterupts. " there comin' in 5 days."
