Based off the Bourne Ultimatum. Obviously there's spoilers, so, be warned. I kinda saw this couple during the third movie, so I had to write something. It's short, I know, and it's an ONESHOT. But it at least go them somewhere.

She turned the stove on, and set a kettle on top of the burner, sighing again.

She ran her hands along her neckline, until she came across a gold chain. She quietly began to fiddle with it, nervously. She grabbed the remote and flipped the TV on.

"Jason's Bourne's body is yet to be found, but the lake is being searched and-"

She turned it off and set the remote back down, her hand shaking.

There was a sharp knock at the door.

She jumped, and silently walked to the door, pausing before opening it.

"Nikki."

"Jason," she sighed in relief, her hands suddenly still. "Come in."

"It was hard to find you," Jason said, eyeing the apartment curiously. "Did you have any trouble?"

"No," Nikki said, "Nobody followed."

"Good," Jason muttered, "I believe we're safe now."

"The spare bedrooms down the hall. Bathroom to the left."

"You got a gun?" Jason asked, catching her eyes.

"It's leaning between my bed and the end table."

"Smart," Jason smiled.

The kettle steamed, and Nikki hurried to remove it, "Want tea?"

"Sure," Jason sat down at the table.

Nikki set down two cups and the pot.

"About what you said, before, in that diner," Jason whispered, after a moment of silence. "That day, when I put the gun to your head, when they were using you as bait, it was hard for me."

"You don't have to-" Nikki interjected.

"I want to." Jason sipped his tea. "I know there's something here. I'm not exactly hoping to get attached, after what happened to Marie, but…"

"Yeah?" Nikki urged. Jason leaned swiftly across the table and captured the younger female's lips.

"I know I can't replace Marie, but-" Nikki spurted, after they'd parted.

"Please," Jason said, "Lets just leave it, alright? I need to…move on."

"Yeah, okay. Are you hungry?" Nikki asked.

"No, I'm good."

"Okay."

They sat silently for a while, casting secret glances at each other. Both surprised, but seemingly happy of what was happening. They were both safe. They were together.

All was well.
