WARNING: DEATHLY HALLOWS SPOILERS

Dedication: Amber v, for suggesting that I write a reflection about Hermione.

Hermione's Friends

A large part of who I am can be explained by my relationship with my friends. Each one means something different to me.

Luna Lovegood is my opposite. She is everything that I am not, carefree, playful, silly, illogical. You could say that she believes in everything, while I believe in nothing. I never thought that she could be right where I was wrong, but you need look no further than the deathly hallows to see that that was wrong. Still we have more in common than I sometimes think. She is in Ravenclaw, a house I nearly entered, and above all she is brave and cares for her friends.

Ginny Weasley is the friend that every girl needs. Someone who sees through the exterior and know that beneath the bookworm there is a rebel. That I'm not that different from anyone else. She is the girl who I talk with late at night about boys, and who understands that even I like to be pretty some times.

Neville Longbottom is a sign of hope to me. He shows that people can improve. Watching him learn from Harry during the DA was amazing. He came so far, and he grew up in a bad situation, with both his parents driven crazy when he was too young to remember. Then of course there's his Grandma. She's a rather intimidating woman. He lets me feel like I am making a difference, helping someone. He made me feel like the DA was worth it, like my idea had really made a difference in the war. And you know, based on what he did in his, sort of mine as well, seventh year, I'd say that I was right, He made a difference.

Harry Potter is bravery and dedication. He might not spend as much time studying as he should, but when Harry decides to go after something he doesn't give up. The way that he went after Malfoy in sixth year and the way that I went after Rita Skeeter in fourth are really sort of similar, even if we both went about it in our own ways. He snooped and I researched. He is modest and kind, and he does the right thing. If I can be half so noble as he is in my lifetime, then I will be absolutely shocked.

Last of all is Ronald Weasley. He is my complement. I know that many people would say that this seems like something I would never say (this is what I was saying in the bit about Ginny), but I truly believe that he is my soulmate. He is sweet, and he is kind. He would do anything, anything at all for me- as I would for him. Even when I nag him about work or setting a good example for the children, I remember that I love him dearly.

I am Hermione Granger, and my friends define the person that I am.

Author's note: This is part of a series called Reflections. They are about characters reflecting on a bunch of different things. There are others, each about a different character. I am asking for suggestions of characters whose reflections you want to see. I will dedicate the story to you if you suggest a character, as well as sending you a message when I put the story up if you sign your review. Please give me suggestions. I promise to respond to every review. I also want to ask if I should still be putting DH spoiler warnings on things? Please tell me.
