Note: Takes place after the demon blots out the sun and Angelus is free.

The crows cackle a vicious and rattling narrative:
The Champion has been desouled!

And somewhere in the City of Angels
Evil awoke
And purged himself of all things innocent and pure
As he slaughtered without remorse

The years pass
And a souled jar is found in the depths of an ancient room
The Evil does not laugh, just watches the swirling light

And off in the distance
Crows shriek bloody tales of never-ending violence and death and torment and hatred
But they do not complain
Because for the first time in a long time
Their bellies are full

And the sun sleeps another day away

A man once named Charles
Lays on a bed in the ancient hotel of his Sire
And dreams of days long since past

"What do you think about?"
asks the Evilest of things

"How things used to be."
Answers the man once named Charles

"No use dwelling on such things."
Counters the Evil
He hears crows outside the window

"Of course, Angelus."

"Sleep, Gunn.
The crows are restless."

The crows cackle a vicious and rattling narrative:
The Champion has been desouled!

They tattled:
And he has taken a Hunter with him.
