This is a one shot based on emotions I've been struggling to come to terms with for one of my good friends. I finally got the courage to express how I feel, and it came out through fanfiction.

But then something happened that opened my eyes and made me realize I couldn't run away anymore. Not if I truly wanted to be happy. So I made a choice. A choice to open this frightened heart.
