'Momiji, Yes it's True!'

Who's in the forest strolling?

Momiji sighed and plopped his legs on the floor, thinking of his family. It was so messed up. His mother didn't even know that he was her son. Other people may have thought it would have been very depressing for Momiji, but it didn't really discourage him from being happy. Sure, he was sad and sometimes wished that he could just tell her and he almost did a few times. But he knew that her not knowing was better for both for them. And for Momo too.

The birds and the bees sing 'Momiji.'

Momiji wished he could hear her mother calling him "son." But he knew he was wishing for the impossible, so he was very thankful for the moments he can spend with her, even though she didn't know that they were mother-son.

The frogs in the pond are calling.

When he was little, he wondered how it felt to be called to leave by your mother. Some of his classmates would pout and say something along the lines of "But I still wanna stay!" Some, mostly girls, though would come running at their mothers and hug them and obey. If his father would have chosen to not give up her memory of him, then he would probably come running at her mother at that moment.

'Momiji, yes it's true!'

Sometimes, he would fight to urge to tell her the truth. Despite wanting so badly to have a mother in his life, he knew that it was best for her. He would dream sometimes about what his life would have been like if her memories had not been erasing, if she knew the truth.

The trees raise their leaves together…

He heard of a legend once. The legend said that the trees used to raise their leaves to cheer up a lonely orphan. * He liked this legend very much and would smile every time he thought of it. It was so very kind of them to do that.

Who needs the sun when I have you?

Momiji had friends. Tohru, Yuki, Shigure, Kisa, Hiro, Rin, Ayame, Ritsu, Hatori, Haru, and even Kyo. He was very very thankful for having such great and caring friends. When he was sad, everyone suddenly had some funny things going on between them and he would find himself laughing, forgetting about his family for a while.

Who's in the forest strolling?

Momiji decided something today. He would stay strong for everyone and would laugh and be cheerful always. He would not fret over small things and even big things, and would encourage everyone to do their best. He would be optimistic and happy forever and ever. For his friends. For Tohru. For Yuki. For Shigure. For Kisa. For Hiro. For Rin. For Ayame. For Ritsu. For Hatori. For Haru. For Kyo. For his father. For Momo. For his mother.

"Momiji?" A voice called out to him and he looked up.

Tohru and Kisa were staring at him. "Do you want to join in? We're playing Cops and Robbers!"

Momiji smiled. "Yeah!"

'Momiji, yes it's true!'
