Chapter 1 Leaving Fairy Tail

Lucy P.O.V

Right now, it's been 5 months since Lissana returned from Edolas and I was happy about that for the first month, then every one started ignoring me, not talking to me, and shoving me off. Everyone didn't care about me. They only cared about Lissana, and I know it's true because my own team went on missions without me and with Lissana, so I started taking solo missions and I bet no one would care if I didn't come back. Well, I guess I didn't mind myself, I am getting some training out of it.

Right now I was on my way back to the guild after a mission, which was to take out some random demon in a nearby village. I got my ass kicked, but I finished the mission and paid my rent for the next two months. When I entered the guild, I was covered in bandages and my clothes, which were a purple tank-top with a white star in the center and black shorts and my usual belt and boots, were covered in blood and damaged beyond repair. But, of course, no one noticed. I dragged myself to the Master's office, he always helps me out. I stumbled on the stairs, but I reached his room and knocked on the door.

"Come in!" Master shouted. I slowly opened the door and saw Master surrounded by mountains of paper.

"What can I do for y- Lucy! My god what happened!?" Master exclaimed. Luckily the room was sound proof.

"Nice to see you too Master." I said hoarsely. He jumped down form his desk and had me sit down.

"I'm serious Lucy, what happened? Wait, you went on another solo mission didn't you?" Master asked. Seeing that he was angry, I couldn't meet him in the eye and just nodded my head.

"Gah! For god's sake Lucy, you're just killing yourself! You don't let yourself heal from previous missions and you go on them constantly and by yourself." Master raved.

"Well, I have no choice. I have to go on jobs to pay my rent and no one ever wants to come with me...and besides, I just want to keep my mind off of how sad I am without my friends." I said, mumbling the last part.

Master looked sadly at me, knowing what I was talking about, and just let out a loud sigh. He then walked over to me and placed a hand on top of mine, which were on folded nicely over my legs. I looked up at him as he did this.

"Lucy, I understand your sadness, but working yourself ragged won't solve anything. Please, just promise me you won't take anymore drastic decisions." said Master.

"...I promise." I said with a sad smile.

Master smiled at me and dismissed me from his office. When I left, I went down the stairs more carefully this time and began limping to the door. As I was leaving, I thought I felt someone staring at me from behind, but I shrugged it off since I knew that couldn't be the case since that couldn't be the case. I walked on the edge of the street like usual and soon made it home, where I almost immediately collapsed on my bed since it already dark. After I woke up, I groggily stood up and saw that it was already passed 12 P.M. I got out of bed and changed out of my clothes and took off my bandages. I looked in my full length mirror and saw myself. I looked awful. My hair was sticking up and was stained by dried blood and scars covered my body from head to toe. I swear, if I didn't know any better, I would've thought I was feral.

"Now that I think about, maybe going to train in the wild on my own would be helpful." I thought.

I shrugged of the thought and would think about it later. So, I took a bath and got into some new clothes. An electric blue t-shirt, an open black long sleeved jacket, white jean shorts, and black ankle boots with my usual belt that held my whip and keys. I also put my hair into a simple ponytail. I was about to head out to the guild when I noticed something on my desk. When I looked closer, I saw that it was a note and I also saw that it was from Team Natsu. My heart almost skipped a beat, I was so happy they finally remembered me. But, that feeling ended when I actually read the letter.

Dear Lucy,

We just wanted to tell you that Lissana is joining our team.

But, you are getting kicked out, just please don't be mad.

And besides, Lissana is stronger than you, so it makes sense.

Also, you did just take Lissana's place, anyway.

Sorry Lucy, but you're out.

Sincerely,

Natsu, Gray, Erza, Lissana, Wendy, Happy.

After reading the letter my hands were shaking and tears were swelling in my eyes. I felt nothing but anger, but why was I crying? I didn't know why, maybe I wanted to hope things were getting back to normal, but right now I knew I was just furious at them. I tore up the letter I left my home and ran to the guild. When I reached the guild doors, I kicked them open so hard, that the wood on them was cracking. After I entered the guild, I ran over to my x-teammates. When I reached the table they were, I slammed my hand against the table.

"HOW COULD YOU GUYS CALL ME WEAK?!" I yelled. I could tell everyone was surprised at my outburst. So now they notice me after just shouting?

"We're sorry Lucy, but you always end up hiding behind your spirits so that makes it true." said Natsu.

"FINE! Call me weak, but why did you have to say I only took Lissana's place!?" I yelled. Then Erza got up to try and calm me down.

"Lucy, please calm down." Erza asked while placing a hand on my shoulder. I forcefully yanked myself away from her.

"No! I've had it with all of you guys! All of you have been ignoring for 5 months now and the only one I could ever go to is Master! And now, when you finally notice me again, you kick me out of the team! You guys made me feel like I didn't belong here and now I know it's true that you don't!" I shouted. Lissana then looked shocked at what I said.

"Wait, you guys said I'd join the team. Not that Lucy would get kicked out." said Lissana.

After hearing her say that, Natsu and the others didn't answer and everyone was just shocked to what I said. All I cared about was being called weak and being kicked out and being called a replacement for Lissana, but I could see that no one cared about that, they only cared that they lied to Lissana. How could they still not get it!

"That's it! You guys don't even care about me! I've made my decision! I'M QUITTING FAIRY TAIL!" I shouted so everyone could hear me throughout the entire guild.
